this is even more impressive than that young KD/Harden/Russ team…it took them until their 3rd playoff run to make the Finals, Wemby/Castle/Harper did it in their 1st

What's crazier for me is that Wemby got to the finals in less seasons than LeBron did. Goes to show you the tier of player he actually is in. And we got Ameiz Thompson and his "superstar potential."

 

I think that a Shaq-like player with help on the perimeter is what will bring down Wemby... brute force down low while not giving him free shots or allowing him to pull the center out to defend...
Shaq would just put a shoulder into Wemby's chest and then dunk on him... the perimeter d is trickier and would require some good switching action...
You're not gonna totally shut him down - but i believe that u could limit the damage...

Wemby gets beat up quite a bit. The actions of his elbows are literally an inconvenience of his height. You see he everybody else get away with nudges he can't.

I definitely think the Knicks have a shot. I’m not sure any team matches up as well with Wemby. The difference could well be if the refs let Castle and the Spurs play bully ball with Brunson. Brunson is as big a flopper as SGA, but he plays for the Knicks.

 

The cavs immediately stopped tanking the moment they got lebron, which is the stupidest thing you can do. The spurs kept tanking and shutting down wemby to get more high picks, because they aren’t morons.
