True, but this is no reason for class envy? Who gets to set the limits on how successful a person can be and do you know that a person can be very successful in life and not only not be greedy but be a great person. Give to all kinds of people with different needs etc....
They found work in the logging woods in Fostoria Tx and on farms in the Liberty Tx area. Guess who owned the logging companies and farms? Millionaires who were like billionaires back then. They sacrificed for their kids who became teachers/doctors/lawyers/preachers, and even in one case a SCOTUS. But make no mistake our family was poor but worked our way out of that. This work ethic was passed down to my grand dad/Dad/Me and I've passed my work ethic on to my son. There was never any class envy in our household and frankly teaching kids class envy is teaching them the wrong message IMHO. But hey you do you. I seriously doubt that you would know you were having a lunch with a CEO if the lunch wasn't business related.

Wealth inequality in the US is at a greater level than when the French started their revolution (and guillotined the 1%) and is WAY out of line with historical norms. We are at "Roaring 20's" levels of wealth inequality - i.e. right before the Great Depression. You, of course, are free to believe that is a good thing, but it isn't historically "normal" or "business as usual". The current status quo is an extreme outlier and way out of balance relative to the historical equilibrium of wealth inequality in the United States. And even if you believe it's a great thing, historically when it gets to these levels in societies, disruptive things tend to start to happen that people who believe wealth inequality is great would definitely not approve off - revolutions, economic collapses, etc. The engine of the economic stability has historically been the spending power of the so-called "middle class", which has been totally hollowed out in the last few decades. As wealth inequality continues to grow, the historical "next step" in the progression is, "**** gets crazy for the rich and poor alike".

Seems pretty aggressive Not directed at an individual, but is presumably intended towards general board members. Not conducive to discussion because if someone does want to defend it, then they are being called a prick. On a scale of time to tone it down vs things being turned up, I'd say it would lean towards the latter. Complete freedom of expression is great, so maybe this place is being moderated just fine? It just feels like we're rolling around **** for no reason with this behavior. At some points it's like we aren't trying to have discussions, but instead looking to blow off steam by yelling "F*ck you" at each other

Everything doesn't have to be made into Right Vs Left, they do it worse so I can do it too game. I, personally, think it sucks when people suck regardless of who's sucking or what their politics are. Yes it's actually hard to name individuals who don't attack each other on here anymore, that is sad Who posts in good faith is hard to know, some people might seem like trolls, but to them it's their earnest politics, how they see the world and how they communicate etc. Some people on here probably think you are a troll, and you probably disagree.

I consider myself right leaning, but my party has kind of left me without a party. Republicanism is not what it was back in the day when I was able to start voting. With that being said I never resort to poo flinging unless someone comes at me first. But I may not qualify as a true Republican anymore.
