they did score 8 without him in the lineup against the cubs granted that was when cwalk was locked in for that series
Astros avoid b2b losses and can win the series tomorrow. Yordan remains en fuego with 2 HRs -- FIVE in THREE games. Only 2 walks by the staff. Burrows throws his 2nd best game of the season. Very good start. ERA slowly un-sucking (5.40). Santos, awesome appearance, gets the multi-inning save. ERA drops to a good number, 3.57.
Yordan might “only” put up 5-6 war this season but that dude is responsible for FAR more wins for the Astros this season. His presence bleeds thru the entire lineup and his aura raises the production of the entire team. Hard to believe if you just reverse the results of one series (4 game sweep by the Mariners) that the Astros would be leading their division.
If true, it's another log on the Astros management's "fire of suspect". 790 has been saying for a while the first week of June brings eligibility. Not sure why.
That’s when they have targeted his return. I’m not sure why he needed so many appearances down there. Seems like it was coming from Hader’s side but who knows.
Heard somewhere he would receive a full spring training before returning. One thing for certain is his injury was worse than they initially let on. Surprise, I know.
I think Diaz is a pretty poor pitch caller, and it is one of the reasons our pitching stunk, Vasquez and Salazar seem much better at it. DD
