    Trade Sengun/FVV for Giannis
    Sign Collin Sexton
    Resign Tari Eason
Fill out the bench with pure 3pt shooters

Trade FVV and KD. Let Amen and Reed run the show. If you can trade both plus future assets for a Top 10 pick here you do it there is star power through pick 8. Stop trying to microwave the process.

Give Sengun another season and offseason. He needs to grow up. Frustrating but hes one of the few hard counters to Wemby and Chet in the league. Get rid of Mama Eason and her son. Hire an offensive coordinator for Ime and a real President of Operations. Build a playpen with a disconnected phone for Patty Fertitta to play in and feel like a big boy.

Tari and Johnson plus whatever picks but that seems like really good value to me

I still think Johnson and tari plus solid picks could get the deal done. I don’t see them getting much better wings than that that are feasibly available. Plus, we have some great picks

Also on the sign and trade, AI says Eason can be included in multiplayer trades with a SNT

    Key Rules on Sign-and-Trade Aggregation

    • A sign-and-trade player (like Eason as RFA) is signed by his prior team (Rockets) and immediately traded in the same transaction. The S&T contract is treated specially for salary-matching purposes on the receiving team (Cavs).

    • You can aggregate the S&T player with other outgoing contracts from the Rockets (e.g., Dorian Finney-Smith, Josh Okogie, or filler) in the same trade. This is allowed and common in complex 3-team deals.

    • The main restrictions are:

    • Apron rules (especially for 2nd-apron teams like the Cavs): They have limits on incoming salary vs. outgoing, cannot aggregate in certain ways, and face hard caps. But S&T helps because the receiving team (Cavs) gets more flexibility on the incoming side. sportsbusinessclassroom.com

    • The two-month aggregation restriction applies to players acquired via trade (they can’t be re-aggregated soon after), but not to the initial S&T itself.

    • S&T must be completed before the regular season starts, and the new contract has specific length/raise limits (typically 3-4 years).”

not sure if it’s correct, but that’s what it says

Also I think the key to contending with the spurs and thunder is sengun plus Mobley that would make Wemby work really hard guarding sengun then Mobley could guard him as good as possible and offense Mobley is spacing the floor at the 5

You move on to Phase Two we're not a developmental team anymore AFTER you have your #1 dude.

KD makes $44m, Sengun another $36.5 ..... When you trade them you are going to get back some NBA talent simply to make the $$$ work. They may not be quite as good as KD or Alpi but they will be capable of winning at a ~40% clip.

Trade into the draft and let the scouting department prove their value.

Emphasis on upside, shooting, and overall NBA readiness.

Blow it up. Get back into the lottery until you find a blue chip guy.

Fire Stone and fire/reign in Ime.

What can the Rockets do? Not make another panic move that pushes the window closer to shut for another 7-8 years…

The new lottery system incentivizes the Rockets to horde their picks and young players for the time being.

Evan Mobley is so good he shot 29% from 3 for the season. Yep, the Rockets should trade Amen and Tari, then mortgage their future by giving up draft picks for a guy that couldn’t
help the Cavs from getting swept by the Knicks. Brilliant idea!!

You have to do this, i am not sure why this is not a more common take, fans and the team are delusional if they have watched playoffs they should know how far away this team is as constructed from winning. They were dominated by a bad Lakers team that started out without their two best players. OKC and SAS are so far ahead that it makes no sense to piecemeal a team to try to compete against them, it is like trying to modify a Honda Civic to keep up with an F1 car. They messed up, the sooner they realize this the better off the team will be, you need a hard restart, with better talent evaluators. You get rid of Stone, maybe you let Ime suffer and lead the tank. They are not a star away, this team has some talent but it is not constructed well.

That’s why this team can’t play motion offense as some have suggested. You need multiple ball handlers and shooters for motion/read and react
