I hate the outcome, but I loved the fight and at the end of the day that's all I can ask for......compete hard and don't give up. They could have mailed it in after the 8 run fiasco, but they didnt
Agree, even though the Astros never had much of a chance of winning that game, it was still really fun to watch, and I can’t say that for very many of Houston’s losses this season.
The last five games give me the vibe that this team really wants to win. Walker gets that out in the 1st and we are talking a 4-5 run inning? I could be wrong there, but I don't mind the loss as long as they continue to play hard.
Agreed. 6 teams in the AL make the postseason and there are currently only 3 above .500 and zero of them are in the AL West. This team absolutely can and should make the postseason. The losses are going to happen. They just need the fight to make it tough for other teams to get the wins, and limit losing streaks.
There are 2 good hitters in that lineup (Alvarez and Walker). Plus Pena who is an average hitter. The other 6 guys are between barely playable and unplayable offensively.
I see 6 or 7 runs. If we were being sporting we would have played Salazar instead of Vazques and only scored 5.
Step 1 - lineup posts Step 2 - people mention Sugarland Step 3 - Astros score 6+ Keep your bodies ready.... at all times. .
Pena is good when he's healthy Vazquez is good so far this year Allen out of the lineup is a huge downmark. The guy just hits (look at him vs Dubon this year) One or more of Trammell/Shewmake/Meyers/Cam/Matthews will have a great game today, right? We got 'em right where we want 'em!
I’m really bummed Dezenzo isn’t getting more run. I think he’s a legitimate MLM hitter waiting for a decent opportunity.
52 would set the franchise record, by alot. Health is the only issue -- just like Brown, Hader, and Javier. Shoutout to Loperfido. .
Loperfido is hurt. Loperfido hits lefty and has more defensive versatility and value since he can play CF and is at least average with the glove. Dezenzo can only play the 4 corner spots and while not terrible, he is not GOOD at any of them.
One bats right the other left. One has more power, one has a better glove I think they’d be an above average LF in a platoon situation. Either one of them should play every day and send cam down to the minors to play CF all year in sugar land.
Dezenzo and Whitcomb are the twins. One tall, one short. Both AAAA. Until Dezenzo busts out tonight with a pinch hit grand italian salami.
After Correa went down, I was really hoping Paredes would start hitting like he did last year. Really could use that bat in the lineup.
