If Imai can come around, we might have a deep pitching rotation after all.

Most of the starters had better numbers with '23 Diaz.

    Don't ask how.

Our lack of pitching development can also be tied to Martin Maldonado being gone

Diaz looks like he has lost any appetite to do extrawork and improve and fight for team wins. Dude will still get enough $ for life and will fizzle out of MLB early 30's with this attitude.

Vazquez is like trying to take it cool and just work hard but can't help himself from getting fired up for the team and teammates succeeding. Easy guy to root for and brings a smile to my face. Seeing Diaz make up with whatever attitude with sleepy cow eyes makes me wanna smash something because as catcher he is involved in everything and the vibe he is vibrating is don't need to care for today or tomorrow it's 162 blaah blaah.

He's not a major league catcher without his bat and we haven't seen his bat in a long long time.

Anytime you can no hit the Rangers and Fukk-u-oka in back to back years you should get a combined lifetime achievement award.

Vazquez caught a 2nd combined no-hitter and some people already want to throw Diaz in the gutter.

Did y'all forget yainer caught ronel Blanco's no-hitter in 2024? Astros' last no-hitter before yesterday.

It's just incredible, honestly. It's like the calling card of the franchise. "Oh yeah, we have the worst ERA in the league? Watch this...." We have like 4 more of them than any other team since the inaugural 1962 season.

Ah man, Bumpus. Haven't thought about him in a minute. Used to hang out with him at Tilt at Town & Country Mall and he'd never stop talking about that no hitter.

"Buddy" Poppy, MLB started putting them on hats/unis in 2019

    https://vfwca.org/di/vfw/v2/default.asp?pid=74099

Since 1922, the "Buddy”® Poppy has been an integral part of the VFW community. As VFW’s official memorial flower, the Poppy represents the blood shed by American service members. It reiterates the VFW will not forget their sacrifices.

The Poppy movement was inspired by Canadian Army Col. John McCrae’s famous poem, "In Flanders Fields.” Poppies were originally distributed by the Franco-American Children’s League to benefit children in the devastated areas of France and Belgium following WWI.

In 1922, VFW conducted a campaign and got Poppies from France. Members soon discovered it took too long to get the flowers in from France and they came up with a better idea. Disabled, hospitalized and aging veterans could make the paper flowers and ship them out to the members for distribution. And so it was known, for veterans in VA hospitals and domiciliaries and in state veterans’ homes, every day would be VFW "Buddy”® Poppy Day. These men and women assemble the Poppies, tie them in bunches of 10 and pack them in boxes of 500, 1,000 or 2,000 for shipment to the Posts and Auxiliaries. VFW pays the disabled veteran for the work. In most cases, this extra money provides additional income for the worker to pay for the little luxuries which make life more tolerable. Furthermore, Poppy assembly is often used as a therapy program to provide exercise for fingers and hands crippled by wounds, disease and the effects of old age.

Another reason Poppies are so important is because all proceeds from distribution are used for veteran’s welfare or for the well being of their needy dependents and the orphans of veterans. More than 2,300 children of veterans have been, or are being cared for in the VFW National Home in Eaton Rapids, Michigan, thanks to a portion of Poppy funds. Reiterate to your fellow members the two-fold importance of Poppies. It’s truly all about veterans helping veterans and living up to VFW’s motto of "No One Does More for Veterans.”

    In Flanders Fields
    by John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved and now we lie
    In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you, from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow,
    In Flanders fields.

I want to throw away Diaz because he has always been immature but was good because of his bat. His bat hasn't been seen since 2024.

Throw away are strong words though. I want Vasquez to catch most games until Yanier figures it out.
