I said it once, and will say it again. Reed would be so amazing on the Spurs, in place of Castle.

His defensive liabilities would just be gone. He could gamble all he wants because he has Wemby as help defender. Also he would have a lot more space to shoot.

This requires an analysis that goes beyond just looking at a box score, which as you can see in this thread people have zero interest in doing. But you are spot on, Reed’s offensive fit and even defensive fit with Wemby is disgustingly good.

For sure, give Wemby a PG that won't turn the ball over 10 times a game and can space the court out to the logo while giving Reed Sheppard a top 20 coach in the NBA and it's a wrap for the league for a decade.

Fortunately for the Rockets, they prevented that.

Lest we forget, the scouting consensus on Castle was that he would struggle to shoot 30% from 3.

Whichever player is on the Spurs will have the better career. Not a single player will do better in Houston than anywhere else right now.

And he's shooting 30.5% from 3 for his career....I guess he really showed everyone.

    Castle 3 pt %:
    2024-25: .285 (age 20)
    2025-26: .332 (age 21)
    Career: .305

If Castle can maintain the 33%, he will have a great NBA career.

Odds are that Castle will get better as he heads into his prime.

To be fair the attention Wemby requires could make anyone look good.

Kevin Durant doesn't really make anyone better anymore. His gravity results in a turnover too much.

If he's only a 33% 3 point shooter, he's in trouble. That's decent for a center, but won't cut it for a guard.

Given that everyone ignores him when he's behind the 3 point line and laughs at him when he shoots it, that makes the 33% even more embarrassing because nearly every 3 point shot he took all season.... not an exaggeration BTW....he was wide open for.

Sengun was guarded more on the 3 point line than Castle, that shows how little his shot is respected

You think Ime is going to let Castle turn it over 10 times in a game? He'd get yanked immediately after the first one.

Dont even answer because it doesnt matter what you think. If Jalen Williams was healthy this series wouldve ended already.

You must haven't been watching this series. The Spurs coach got on Harper and Bryant for letting opposing players get by them and playing bad defense....I think Reed would be getting the same limited minutes he's getting now, if any.

Kid, we've been over this, it's okay that your don't know even the basics about basketball.... you just see flashy things and clap.

There's nothing wrong with that but it means you don't have any business discussing ball with grown folk.

Well, why don't you send me a grown person to discuss basketball with? I know you got school tomorrow but I'll be up late watching the NY and Cleveland game.

    Sengun's 5-year 3pt%

    .248
    .333
    .297
    .233
    .305

    Career .281

A second year jump may or may not mean a real trajectory.

Every player's development is different. I'll wait a little more to announce which player will be better.
