If you're talking about Taylor Sheridan, he wasn't involved in Marshals at all. And it shows. I think he's back writing for Dutton Ranch. And it shows.
His first few movies: Sicario, Hell or High Water, Wind River...were absolutely fantastic. Then he crawled up his own/Paramont's ass and got lost in the Yellowstone universe.
He didn't write the first 2 episodes of DR, some other dudes did. I think he's only writing the Madison, Landman, and Lioness now. He's distanced himself from Marshals and Dutton Ranch, just taking credit as the original creator of the characters.
Didn’t watch Mad Men when it came out. I just binged it in about 3 weeks. Really enjoyed it. I’m sure there is a thread on it but I haven’t searched for it. What did everyone else think about it?
I also just binged Mad Men and thought it was excellent. It’s coverage of a transformative period in US history was compelling.
The season finale of Marshals Spoiler was like a concussion and sets up S2 to be much better. Thing is, when it's released in 2-3 years, I will no longer be interested in the show.
I just binged Yellowstone I have never seen such a cringe character like Beth. The show keeps trying to giver her god like plot armor to try to make her gone out on top constantly while she is probably the most evil insufferable person in the show. I can’t watch anything with her in it
The first two seasons were a bit over the top for me but this final season of Euphoria… if you aren’t watching (which I’m assuming many are not) you are missing out. It’s movie quality for most of the season in terms of tension, acting, sets, directing, and the fact got Hans Zimmer for a TV show is wild.
I got to like episode 7 in season 1 and just couldn’t after awhile. It’s so over the top and suspends disbelief so much that it just takes you out of it. And yeah Beth Dutton’s character is just so overdone. Like yeah… I get it, you are a chick that cusses, screws, drinks, and will talk trash… big deal. We get it… To think they’ve been able to expand the Yellowstone Cinematic Universe to MCU level is insane. Who has the time and patience to watch this sh$t??
They went way over the top with Beth Dutton and made her almost cartoonish. But she's not in the other "YCU" shows. 1883 was much better than Yellowstone. 1923 was too in some ways.
