Realistically, we basically get back to something similar to the deal we had before. Basically Trump doing the same thing he did with NAFTA. Make modest changes, that benefit another party more than the US. Then in a few years about how it's a terrible deal as if he didn't make it.

It also doesn't help negotiations for peace when Trump posts pics of blowing up Iran today, and one with a bomb hanging under a plane, with THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER painted on the bomb. He's just a childish idiot.

Don't forget this specific dumbass claimed giving Iran sanction relief or giving them billions of their money in frozen accounts was treason under democracts but somehow their cult leader doing it is something theyll glance over. Not a single one of these MAGA has a shred of credibility other than worshipping their cult leader.

Lol @ "killed all their leaders" when the son of the old Ayatollah is literally the supreme leader right now

... how's that $100 billion a year in tolling income through the Strait working out? Oops, you whiffed on that one! Yet, somehow you believe you are the authority on this war despite being wrong so many times. We are all laughing at you, amigo! And your own Democrat buddies are urging you to act more civilized. Your credibility is in tatters!

If you ask me, what is best for you, amigo, is a one-month timeout. A pattern interrupt. An intervention where you can seek the help you deserve. After that, you can come back mentally healthy and contribute positively!

    GOOD DAY

He would flunk the marshmallow test. Actually, he would just eat it and claim he didn't.

Let's make a friendly wager. If Trump doesn't end up releasing at least 10 billion as part of a future deal I won't post on this site for 2 years. If trump does release a minimum of 10 billion as part of a future deal you won't post here for 2 years? If trump doesn't get the enriched uranium then you won't post here (you claim it's a done deal).

I havnt been wrong about anything. Look at the first 10 pages of this thread when I said regime change wasn't happening and the MAGATs @tallanvor were arguing otherwise

Why would I wager with a dishonest person? You were 100% wrong about the amount of tolls Iran would collect. You were roughly $100 billion/year off, in fact.

Lying is not OK -- no matter what the Muslim clerics say. Your reputation will suffer if you lie -- a bad thing. Why do liberals struggle to understand this? My personal view is it's because they think in very short term increments. A lie could help them evade a situation... or could help soothe a loss. But what they don't factor in is the long term damage -- what happens the next time. How will they be perceived. Typically the lower the IQ, the lower the ability to think long term.

Like I predicted. All talk no bark. Typical cultists know they're lying but have to defend their cult leader at all costs. I didn't claim Iran would be collecting 100 billion a year. That was the WSJ the same newspaper you have quoted as a source numerous times in this thread.

MAGATs don't care about the truth. When Trump ends up giving Iran billions of dollars they'll continue sucking him off.

The Israel First neoconservatives are inducing Schizophrenia in Trump. And because the MAGA sycophants on here and in society have no principles besides follow Trump, they are hanging on for dear life.

Trump’s War Is Staggering to an Incoherent Defeat
Even the president’s supporters are alarmed.

    By Tom Nichols

    ...

How much Iran will get away with, and how much humiliation the United States will endure, has yet to be ironed out by the negotiators, but the war is now almost certain to end with Tehran’s theocrats firmly in power, and with a stronger chokehold both on their own people and on the international economy than they had three months ago.

Not only is Trump incoherently staggering to defeat, he now risks signing on to an agreement that could be far worse than anything Obama negotiated with Iran a decade ago. I was a critic of the JCPOA back then because I believed that it contravened some basic diplomatic logic by front-loading concessions to the Iranians while hoping they would later abide by its terms. Obama, too, knew the risk he was taking, as he admitted at the time to The Atlantic’s editor in chief, Jeffrey Goldberg. “Look, 20 years from now, I’m still going to be around, God willing. If Iran has a nuclear weapon, it’s my name on this,” he told Goldberg in 2015. “I think it’s fair to say that in addition to our profound national-security interests, I have a personal interest in locking this down.”

The JCPOA was not perfect, but it was the product of the efforts of professional diplomats, scientists, and other experts, and once it was in place, it was really the only game in town. Obama gambled that Iran would feel pressure to observe the JCPOA once it went into effect, and he was right. Three years later, few argued that Iran was in violation of the agreement; Trump trashed it anyway, without any thought or preparation, much as he has done with other arms agreements.

Now the president will end up having to sign off on a set of terms that will likely make the JCPOA look demanding by comparison. Trump began this war assuming that all other issues—nuclear weapons, terrorism, Iran’s regional adventurism—would vanish when the regime was toppled. When that didn’t happen, he had no plan for what to do next, and he seems to have settled on preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons as the central explanation, not only for why he went to war, but for why Americans must now suffer the economic effects of the conflict. The Iranians may well promise to forswear a nuclear program—as they did to Obama a decade ago—but for now, they are not only presenting themselves as the aggrieved party, they’re behaving like the victors: setting demands, making the Americans negotiate the status of the Strait of Hormuz, and kicking the nuclear question down the road.

Yesterday, the president told Axios that the chance of reaching an agreement with the Iranians was a “solid 50/50,” and that he either would accept a “good” deal or “blow them to kingdom come.” Neither of these things is going to happen. Instead, a piece of paper will, at some point, come out of a meeting room in Pakistan. It will certify that the United States must accept a major strategic defeat in the Middle East. And Donald Trump, who brought America to this point because of his ego and his incompetence, will sign it.
