Salaries in sports today are the reason why so many players are glass. When players were making $1-$10 per season they played everyday, through injuries and whatnot, because they didn't know when their next payday was coming. Now with long term contracts and players basically getting retirement money for playing 1 season it seems any small discomfort is magnified and players kept away from the team to secure their investment.
injuries are up across the board for all sports sadly. players are rarely good once they past their 30s these days.
exceptional pitching offense did just enough to win the game should be 4-0 if it wasn't for the damn wind series win 6 games straight Ls for cubs. oof
Go for the sweep tomorrow. But honestly I just want to see them win 3 in a row. Seems like forever since they last done that lol.
The Astros are currently closer to first in their division (5 games back) than the Yankees are in theirs (5.5). lol. I love the AL West.
Cubbie offense has been a disaster recently. No jinx. In their last 14 games, they've scored 15 runs in 11 of the games (lost all 11), and 25 in the other 3 (won all 3)
Postgame said Yordan looked "good" in the locker room. "moving around well". "is in positive spirits". Cramps and spasms can linger, but this appears no Altuve.
if bryan king continues to pitch he's been pitching, he might be the future closer once hader is gone bryan abreu is never going to get right as a closer.
First L10 above 500 since April 7th -- Game 2 @ Rockies. Astros will attempt their first 3+ consecutive wins since April 1st
