The reality is that he is a great regular season player, but has really had some huge stinkers in the playoffs. I want James to win a championship, but year in and year out he does the same act in the playoffs.
At this point in his career, he's a bench player that shouldn't play more than 20 minutes a game. He'll never embrace that role though.
He’ll prob put up at least 18ppg, 7 apg and 4 rpg next year and he probably has a big game 3 or 4 in Cleveland so the dummy fan club will be fooled again and believe. It’s a viscous cycle for the mentally impaired.
Harden at this point of his career is primarily a playmaker. When his assist number is low, he is not a positive for the team. This is especially true since he has always been a high turnover player. He may have a good scoring game here and there. But he's no longer the consistent volume scorer like he was in his prime.
He's old as dirt. Look at the other old guys, how did they do? Curry? Literally zero. Durant? Played one game, and sucked. Expecting a super old guy to carry a team is asinine, literally nobody that has ever lived has done it. People are only talking about it because it's an easy opening to take shots, even though for any reasonable expectation he's been completely solid in the playoffs.
He has unfortunately always had a lot of playoff games where he played just like this even in his prime
Not really true, the Cavs woulda lost I first round without him. They were reeling before the trade and he turned their whole season around and got them to eastern conference finals I would say the trade was a success for them,
Harden doesn't seem to care. He shows no urgency. Over the years, he has had multiple opportunities to get that monkey off his back. They don't necessarily have to win a series. He just needs to take over when his teammates aren't doing good enough for the win, like he did in the regular season during his prime years. But he just doesn't seem to want to make an effort to prove his critics wrong about him. Now it's too late for his career. He likely can't do it even if he wanted to. He might hitch onto a championship team in his last NBA years. But he isn't going to win as "the system" anymore.
Cavs are so screwed. They gonna roll out the same sorry ass Harden led team next year lol. They got $50m due to Mitchell, $50m due to Mobley and $42m due to Frauden @peleincubus (suck it). They ain’t getting back anything significant that will help them contend immediately if they trade Mitchell and they prob don’t wanna give up on Mobley and they’re 100% stuck with the bum ass loser. Brick Ross ruining franchises and getting coaches/gm’s fired left and right.
People still talk about Harden like he's 26. He's gonna be 37 in a few months. It's an important past time for many people though - hopefully he keeps playing deep in the playoffs for folks like Keerthika on Twitter and SAS and various people here
James Harden playoff stats Age 26 season 41% FG 31% 3PT 5.2 TO Age 27 season 41% FG 27% 3PT 5.4 TO Ain’t nothin changed except the hairline and body mass index. As far as the play goes it’s the same sorry ass bum.
Yup, there’s a lot of sad, stupid people out there. Best to just ignore them and not give them a platform.
