He has done okay in aggregate, but the head to head stats will continue to swing in Wemby's favor (which they already have if you only account for 2026 only), so I don't see the point in the comparison which includes Wemby's rookie season in which Sengun was clearly better. I honestly thought you were joking lol. I do agree that you can't expect anyone to be better than Wemby individually, if healthy he will be the best player in the league within 1-2 years likely. Just need someone to make life difficult for him and make up for it in other areas, Steven Adams comes to mind. Honest, good faith debate would do a lot more to increase the quality of the forum than insulting folk's intelligence. We are all fans who watch the games. Leave the hurling of insults to the trolls/bots. I'm honestly not sure what your gripe is or why you're so upset. I think we can all agree Wemby is the superior player, my only point was taking stats from when Wemby was a rookie and acting like that will be the head to head picture moving forward is disingenuous. You brought up a whole lot of other stuff that had nothing to do with my post.
Still in the gaslighting phase and wondering why you got insulted "supposedly". Now ignorance is the go to. Its pretty pathetic but par for the course. You can go back and reread everything ignorance isnt an excuse. I dont suffer bullshit which why a lot of haters hate me because all you have is bullshit and when someone calls you out on it you try to paint them as "the mean one". OP is the same. Same ole clutchfans say anything stupid and when facts **** you up claim ignorance and gaslight, then play victim.
Wemby hasn’t looked as indestructible the last 2 games with OKC. He can still be worn down and bullied. Okc has shown the way by harassing him on the outside with big guards or forwards and punishing him away from the basket on the interior. This won’t work as well in the regular season. I don’t think Wemby/Sengun one on one is anything we have to worry that much about. It is Sengun/Reed team defense and Sengun/Amen team offense. I wouldn’t panic trade any of the 3. Give Amen and Sengun another year to improve their outside shots and Reed another year of experience, if Ime is still coach or unless we get offered a bag for Sengun or Reed is a necessary casualty in a beneficial trade. Neither should be sacrificed for guys on the downhill stretch of the careers.
It's similar to how teams greatly slowed down Sengun once they realized they didn't need to respect Amen at all. When you can ignore someone who is allegedly a guard when they are in the perimeter it crowds the paint and forces your big men outside which forces them to work harder and ultimately limits their game. The Spurs have Castle killing their offense, the Rockets have Amen..... and Ime. At least we have the superior version of the alleged PG that can't shoot.
Well said! We're all Rocket's fans, we just want our team to be better and to win a championship. But I think when people are like you said, DISINGENUOUS and start denying the obvious, it ruins their credibility. I, for instance, like Sengun as a person. I think he is cool. Its just that as a player, I don't think you can win big with his archetype. Ive been saying for years, that you need a center who is long, athletic who can block shots and who can shoot outside of at least 15ft and it doesn't have to be Wemby. A player like Kel'el Ware fits that description perfectly. However, if someone questions his BASKETBALL ABILITIES, not him personally, SOFs take it in the wrong context.
Ok so who would you pick as replacement? Also keep in mind that just because you want someone doesn't mean it can turn into a hostage situation and they are forced to sign.
