What are you insinuating, Alpe is one of the best offensive Centers....that is known. Giannis is a Pf, not a Center even.
Lol, exactly. Literally includes all 4 games they played head-to-head this season. To say Wemby is a better player is fine. However, Sengun has played him well head-to-head. We'll see what happens in the future as far as their matchups go, but to claim anytime the last 3 years that Sengun was dominated by Wemby is straight up lying. https://www.landofbasketball.com/games_between/alperen_sengun_vs_victor_wembanyama.htm
I would love for OKC to make this trade. Close the championship window earlier, please. There is no way Presti does this.
Haha I just realized every desperate fanbase is throwing that name around. The Rocks were desperate for Kevin last year. So many good guys in the draft, it'd be ridiculous.
Hard to watch, but if the refs allow it, you have to wrestle with the alien. Dude can't move Hartenstein one iota!
Thanks for the insults, very classy. To answer your question, the original post I replied to posted Wemby and Sengun's career head to head stats without context, which so far have come out around equal. So, I interpreted that post as DD saying Sengun was generally equivalent, if not better, than Wemby head-to-head based on that, which is laughable. Why do you feel the need to add things like this in many of your posts?
Makes no sense even if Sengun was. 50% three point shooter as long an Amen is on the floor. Wemby will just guard him and roam. Which is what they did this year cuz Sengun dominated him when allowed to go 1 on 1. Wemby simply isn’t strong enough yet to bang with the physical players. if the criteria is players who have a chance against Wemby might as well just trade the whole team and tank for 10 years. Cuz there isn’t a player in nba history that has a chance. I’m sorry this guy is the best prospect/player anyone has ever seen. Prime Michael Jordan wound get absolutely locked down by this freak of nature.
Mhmm no shot. All matchups: 20/10/5 assists for Alpi vs Wemby, 52% fg 20/10/ 4 blocks Wemby 44% from the field. Brooks, Okogi/ Smith guarded Wemby. Wemby guarded Sengun.
That is not what I said at all, just showing that Sengun has done OK against him, and that we could live with that if we have other people around to help contain Wemby. Wemby is clearly miles better than anyone on our team - he is a complete player, we don't have a single player who is COMPLETE - the actual closest two are Jabari and Amen - the others are all lacking in important areas.....Segun and Reed on D for instance. But, I also don't believe we are MILES away, we need one to break out (unlikely) and we need better glue guys.....no more Tate's or DFS - get younger guys that can dribble and create off of it to supplement the overall team. I still believe our biggest weakness is the 6" between Ime's ears, I think he is an idiot as a coach. DD
Because when people post disingenuous things, it needs to be called out. How else will the quality of this forum improve if people continue posting garbage without being called out on it?
People have been complaining about the quality for years, the best way to improve it is for all of us to do better. DD
Its no one's fault if you make up these fake naratives and then say anything to defend yourself knowing you were wrong in the first place and then when youre pushed in a corner trying to gaslight people. That deserves an insult.
I agree with everything but Jabari is complete. By my standards he's a bust. He was supposed to go #1 that draft he looks more like a 16th pick.
I missed the second game, but I haven't been impressed with Chet. He seems afraid of Wemby. So if Spurs take them to 6 or 7 and they fear theyll be a legit threat for several years, it may be wise to upgrade to Giannis who I think is best suited physically to guard Wemby -- Chet and Gobert are the others who SHOULD be best physically matched to guard him. Smaller players do well on him for now. But I suspect he's going to get a long stronger and his balance will improve. Plus those long arms means he doesn't have to really bury guys under the rim. He doesn't have to take a hard dribble when backing down his opponent and risk a charge or a pulling of the chair as much as a typical big. Alpi has tremendous balance otherwise players would be making him fall with the chair move every time he posts up.
I don't know why anyone is surprised Wemby is dominating Chet. As much as the haters cry about Sengun, Chet, who is an NBA champion and a good player, has been the one who gets dominated by Wemby since day 1. https://share.google/XFR6Jb8ycwoVapOg6
