Some J6 political prisoners were held without a trial for years, in solitary confinement, and some were put in a cold closet with a bucket for a toilet. These are Americans who were peacefully protesting a stolen election. Their rights were trampled on. Pay these men.

Per Samsel’s account, he was subjected to continuous surveillance, with the lights on 24/7 in a cell with windows covered by a black mat, which deprived him of an external view. He was denied access to books, letters, or photographs, and was given a yellow bucket to use as a toilet.

Congressional budgets have to be passed by 60+ vote majority. If you want to continue funding the government you need bipartisanship in the senate. Democrats can easily draw the line in the sand and add a clause to revoke this money in exchange for keeping the government open. Republicans did this when Biden was president.

The Dems need to grow a pair of balls and stop being weak cowards. It's why so many people hate them. Weakness is never popular

    Google calls bull ish

No January 6th defendant was held in solitary confinement with absolutely no access to a toilet, though some detainees reported severe plumbing failures, restricted water access, and cell lockdowns that temporarily prevented them from using toilets.

How can there be no cap with an indefinite appropriation? That law sounds unconstitutional. There’s already a lawsuit.

At the same time, those who are truly wrongly prosecuted by the Trump DoJ should start applying. There have been soooooo many of them, lol.

I never claimed to have been elected. I am but a humble public servent.
It is a sad day for Kentucky that the greatest member of the house was ousted because he didn't agree with Trump. At least they still have Rand Paul for now. Perhaps Massie will run as a Libertarian. Maybe he will even jump on the Libertarian ticket in the next Presidential election.
I am, of course, still opposed to government transfer payments. As I said above, I would be very wary of payments to people who have been prosecuted. I don't know how you could possibly think posting about officers shooting people who were driving their cars at them in response to a discussion about an officer shooting someone driving her car at him would be changing the subject. I understand it can be tough to follow along. Never have I said armed agents of the state should be allowed to shoot citizens with no accountability. For example, I absolutely condemned Michael Slager in the shooting of Walter Scott and in this very thread talked about how agent of the state Lt. Byrd should be held accountable for shooting Ashli Babbit when he was not in imminent danger of death or great bodily injury. I guess it is always easier to argue against a straw man though. Also, degenerating to petty insults, especially false ones, is a pretty sure sign you have no argument.
You can literally see them in the video. They aren't in the hallway, they are in the room that Babbit and the mob are in, standing at the top of the stairs. My beliefs are very clearly stated and consistent. I don't blow with the changes in the political winds.

What the DOJ did to those who were peaceful at the January 6 protest is unconscionable. Truly awful and the behavior of third world dictators. It's intimidation as a way of trampling on our freedoms and on democracy. This mistreatment of innocent people ruined families and bankrupted them.

    Pay these people.

This guy is nothing but a corrupt con, screwing the people of this country over and over and over. There really is no justice in this country with a lying felon, doing everything in his power to cover his criminal acts as President.

"I gave up a lot of money in allowing the just announced Anti-Weaponization Fund to go forward. I could have settled my case, including the illegal release of my Tax Returns and the equally illegal BREAK IN of Mar-a-Lago, for an absolute fortune. Instead, I am helping others, who were so badly abused by an evil, corrupt, and weaponized Biden Administration, receive, at long last, JUSTICE! President DJT"

Liar! You didn't give up crap. All you do it take, take, take, and it's never enough to o satisfy your greed. Justice my ass. Justice would have been locking your crooked ass up years ago, with the other felons, fraudsters, traitors, and pedos.

@Reeko @SamFisher the weak spineless democrats who thought pardoning would cause her to reflect on her actions are proven wrong again. Never seen anything more pathetic in my life than this pardon

Surely, this qualifies for the "DOJ anti-weaponization fund".

    AP:
A federal judge on Friday dismissed a human smuggling case against Kilmar Abrego Garcia, finding that the Justice Department’s pursuit of criminal charges was designed to punish him for challenging his mistaken deportation to El Salvador last year.

The ruling amounted to an extraordinary rebuke of a Justice Department that under President Donald Trump has repeatedly been accused of targeting defendants for political purposes

U.S. District Judge Waverly Crenshaw, in Nashville, Tenn., said in his ruling granting Abrego Garcia’s motion to dismiss for “selective or vindictive prosecution.”

Surely, this also qualifies for the "DOJ anti-weaponization fund".

    AP:
Chicago’s top federal prosecutor abandoned a closely watched case Thursday against four activists who protested outside a federal building during last year’s immigration crackdown in the city, after a judge scrutinized allegations of grand jury misconduct by the prosecutor’s office.

U.S. Attorney Andrew Boutros announced the decision to dismiss the remaining charges in court following a closed-door meeting over redacted grand jury transcripts. He told U.S. District Judge April Perry he was unaware until recently of the alleged misconduct, including a prosecutor meeting with a grand juror outside proceedings and other jurors who disagreed with the case being dismissed prevented from participating. Boutros did not dispute the allegations, saying the conduct was upsetting and the reason the case was being dismissed.

    ...

“I have read hundreds, if not thousands, of grand jury transcripts involving prosecutors who are the most junior of prosecutors to several U.S. attorneys who appeared before the grand jury,” Perry said Thursday. “I have never seen the types of prosecutorial behavior before a grand jury that I saw in those transcripts.”

“I will tell your honor that as upset as you are, and have been — I, too, had not seen conduct like that, and it upset me, which is why we did dismiss that indictment,” U.S. Attorney Andrew Boutros told the judge Thursday.

Once again arguing against a straw man. I haven't said anything in support of a 1.776 Billion dollar fund of any sort, and in fact have reiterated my disdain for transfer payments of any kind. When asked to comment directly about the idea of paying people who had been prosecuted, I indicated I was generally opposed. You are lacking in either reading comprehension or intellectual honesty.

Wow! That's impeachable alright. The Department of Justice? Where is the justice in erasing the facts to hide the crimes so you can pretend the perp was innocent?

That would trigger the PTSD they live with for sure. It's far more than a just slap in the face to the police by the President himself, for all those who were beaten and physically attacked in the line of duty. It's absolutely despicable.

The judge in that case had it spot on about Tina Peters. And the Colorado governor, in pardoning her, was either paid or threatened. Went and pulled a soft-on-crime Democrat maneuver.
