Fred - year older, coming off injury
Adams - year older, coming off injury
Durant - year older, not a particularly clutch career

Next year, Rockets might perhaps leapfrog Tracy-Yao by blasting out of the 1st round.

    Might perhaps incoming !!!

Right, with those guys playing, we'd be scoring about 90 points a game. Much improved from 78 of course.

Even without KD, FVV-led Rockets were scoring 98 ppg against a good defensive Golden State team in the playoffs. Maybe they will be hurt again or don't recover, but thinking around 90 ppg with those guys playing healthy is just hating.

LOL. I was exaggerating. This team without FVV, KD and Adams was capable of scoring more than 78 points a game. It's just a one-game sample size.

It's frustrating to watch the incompetence of our offense in an elimination game. The FVV-led team last year scored only 89 points in Game 7. That's where my "90 points" came from. That team also was capable of scoring more than that of course.

OKCs bench averages 35 pts in the post season. If Rockets got 20 a night from the bench and two of their guys can hold on to the ball with 24 seconds to go, they win that series.

Saw another stat where Harden was getting "Hunted" on the PnR to the tune of 1.5 points per possession which is in another dimension of terrible.
Meanwhile, the player here who was getting "hunted" allowed .95 ppp and a 20% deflection/steal rate. Only Wemby, Hartenstein and surprisingly Towns were better bigs defending the pick your poison action.
People just have the back to back dunks from Ayton in game 2 and just roll with the narrative. The problem for me is we used to average 1.2 ppp on the PnR action against the Jarett Allens, Giannis defenders. We couldn't even make a pocket pass to save our lives.

Reed allowed 1.13 ppp on that action, which isn't blatantly bad. A little more nuance on how to grab without getting called for the whistle and he can definitely bring that down. Yet nobody wants to talk about Amen getting beat by old man Marcus without a screen. Having offensive responsibilities takes a toll.
Revamp the bench, get a low end 20pt scorer who takes threes and is willing to switch on defense for Durant.
