At what point do you want to watch any basketball - or are you only most interested in winning the draft. This is the whole team lol. We might as well bring back Silas.

I was going to joke that we needed a BANGER PF and a PASS FIRST PG like it's 2003 but looks like you got it covered.

Counter question: Which part of Ime Udoka/Ste Silas basketball have you enjoyed watching with these young bums so far? When was the product so watchable that you're advocating continuing it? Please provide dates of games so I can use them to wash my eyes of all the ones i've watched for 5 years.

That is basically my point. When you are constantly drafting unknown commodities to build the team and you dont get the pick you need, or dont draft the right pick, then you are gonna be watching some scrub ass basketball and you are basically pushing to go back to the first couple silas years. We all watched a lot of bum ass basketball, but we also watched some of those players start to grow up and learn what their roles actually should be with the more games they play.

No one in the league is adding pieces to their current roster that are as integral to the team philosophy as the Rockets getting back FVV and Steven Adams. FVV had an assist to turnover ratio in the high 3s in 2025, no one that played in 2026 came close to that. When Steven Adams went down the Rockets lost the ability to play their own game of shitty shooting and max rebounds. When FVV went down they lost the ability to play smart basketball late in games. Thompson and KD are not good enough with the ball when they get blitzed. Anyone who watched in 2024 will remember how many games that FVV put it on in the 4th quarter and took over - hitting big shots, getting to his spots, driving and kicking.

We are getting back our point guard. A position we didnt have this year. We are getting back one of the best rebounders in the league. He does things that Sengun just cant do just based on strength.

I dont think everyone on the roster currently has a long term fit here, but I also think those players have more value as players than trading them all for unknown commodities, especially when being at the bottom of the standings doesnt help as much as it used to.

I get it, this season sucked. And everyone freaked out when stone said it was basically a lost season. But that just shows you he is probably not as dumb as we think he is. He understands the philosophy of the team and what losing FVV and Adams does.

Thompson, Reed, and Jabari all got better this year when forced into the fire. Now Thompson can play his role, Reed can play the benchies, and we can split Jabari and Sengun minutes at the 4 and dont have to see Capela.

After 2024 "all we needed" was a closer (and to get Green tf out of here), and we got KD. But at the same time, we lost the two main pieces of what we want to do as a team. Play defense, protect the ball, and control the glass. When you swap FVV & Adams for Reed & Sengun/Capela - well no s*** it didnt turn out well.

Had those two played all year and we still had the end of game breakdowns, we still got dominated by Ayton, and we still made Lebron look prime - then, yeah, blow that s*** up. But we have in a sense already basically signed two new FAs to join the team, and they are already paid for with current money. I would much rather have FVV and Adams with the current young'ns as is, than adding any batch of new scrubs that stone drafts and then shipping talent out just because its not "cornerstone" talent.

    Need to do list -

    New coach
    New GM
Send out everyone for quality youth with the exception of Amen, Jabari, and Reed.

Yeah. Amen becoming an All-star is likely just depends on what degree. He needs a runway and could be the best two way player in the league who isnt French. But ultimately it doesn't seem like the Rockets have the know-how or the patience for that. I hate this team and its giving me parallels to those Kubiak/Schaub Texans teams back in the day with a rigid coach that was committed to "his guy".

Its hard to give a **** knowing Ime, Fred and Stone are all coming back. Amen, Jabari and Reed will be told to let Uncle Fred set the table and to stand around while their number is called. Still don't have a pulse on whether KD will be here nor not. Hopefully not but who knows.

Yeah at first I wanted to attach the PHX pick to FVV of DFS but now I am more willing to ride it out next year since they’re both expiring. Amen & Jabari the only ones I’d keep at this point. Find a backup PG & whatever depth we can and let Ime, FVV, KD, and Adams be all the can be next year lol. Save guys like Sengun and assets for a trade once we know where those 27’ picks land

Idk who Stefan Joksimovic in next years draft is but he won me a MVP and championship in 2k so I’m pretty much sold

Moves i would make to solidify this roster.

    Trades
Fvv and Jabari Smith, 2029 1st rd for Dejounte Murry, Kevin Looney.
Capela, DFS , 2027(Suns) #1 pick, 2nd rd pick for Ty Jerome
    Free Agents
Jusuf Nurkic(14,104,000 Full MLE) 3 years - team option
CJ McCollum (Room Exception 9.1) 2 years - team option
Kris Middleton (Vets) 2 years - team option
Marvin Bagley III (Tax payer MLE 6.1) 2 years - team option
    Resigning Players
    Tari Eason

    Dejounte Murry - Reed
Amen Thompson,- Ty Jerome - CJ Mcollum
Durant - Tari Eason - CJ Mcollum
Alperen Sengun - Khris Middleton -Marvin Bagley III
    Jusuf Nurkic - Looney- Adams

    - Good 12 man rotation.
    - Get the shooting we need Jerome, Cj, Middleton.
    - Need Defensive Purpose at Center Moving Sengun at PF!

This is what i do if im a GM. And i push hard for these Trades, and Signings.
You have 2 years with Kevin Durant. Its time to push Hard.
Jabari is all you have to lose no big deal.

This is the best start going forward. I think Alpi would thrive under a coach with offensive knowhow and good at defensive schemes. After all, both offense and defense are based on teamwork.

I'm not ready to trade Amen, I think he will have a breakout season next year when he's playing at the right position.
Amen improved his free throw percentage, developed a better mid-range game.
I know he'll be in the gym focusing this summer to improve his spot up shooting.
In addition, Amen playing point guard this past year only helped his game more from read and react perspective.
We need to fill up our bench with shooters! Shooters! Shooters!
We need to overcome on from FVV, Steven Adams, and Clint Capela...

I think all the teams will get a Dillon Brooks type enforcer for Wemby.....
if everyone does it, he might really get fatigued.

Only change that would make a difference is first firing stone so we can get a gm who would actually make some these other moves

Otherwise we are running it back with fvv and steven adams

I think the best we can hope for is health, internal growth and (fingers crossed) a back up shooting guard who can actually shoot.

    Had to edit my trades.

Fvv and DFinnley Smith, 2029 1st rd for Dejounte Murry, Kevin Looney.

Jabari Smith, and Clint Capela, 2027(Suns) #1 pick, 2nd rd pick for Ty Jerome

If you check out the trade machine its even, also rockets are sending out firsts
as sweetners to get it done. These two teams are semi-rebuilding and looking to lose
or gain youth, draft picks, shed salaries.

These two trades are where the rockets get **** ton of shooting on new backcourt. Also
if you look at the signings, this will give Durant tons of rest with CJ coming In.
Its a team that i think could really compete atleast possibly take the spurs or okc to 7 games.
Changing the defense idenity at Center as well is very good strategy.

Move on from Fred Van Vleet please! Murry can run this offense and shoot lights out!
