No way Lebron joins him after that performance. Alpi rolling over in his grave.

The only dumb ones are fans like you with ill logical takes that would handi cap the future of this organization. Harden is a professional stat padder with no real effect on long term winning. His stat line may look good but you're not seriously winning anything with Harden running your offense. He's a QUITTER. The fact you'd bring this clown back just for a few more regular season wins shows your basketball IQ. Heck no

Over emotional fans like yourself are amusing to me.

Not only are you wrong but its funny to me how any fan can be mad at Harden wanting out when the ownership changed when it was clear this team was going to tank. You all wanted him to waste years in his prime ruining our lottery position just so your feelings wouldn't get hurt. Meanwhile, he made sure he got us a haul, not his fault that the Rockets didn't get a superstar for his return...

But given all that, given that Harden was part of one of the best Rockets teams of all time, and given that he still loves the franchise and city and yet you still hold this personal grudge at him as if he slept with your mama. Get over yourself.

Just a few more regular season wins lol...I love that Harden failing in the conference finals is proof of him not being a winner meanwhile this team got eliminated by a Lakers team that got rid of us in 6 games without their best player and for most of the series, without one of their other top scorers...

Those Harden teams were better than anything this team has put out now and unfortunately, might be the best Rockets teams we'll have in a while and its so odd that weird emotional fans like yourself are still holding animosity because a HOF player didn't want to waste his career playing with Christian Wood and washed John Wall.

its hard to argue against this as critical as I have been of harden

MDA/Morey/Harden all wanted out at the same time...and it looks like they weren't wrong for doing so

And no one is saying Harden is perfect but he did give his all to his franchise. So what it wasn't enough? No one gets on Yao for not being enough and attacking him like this or other players.

It sucks that Harden teams had to settle for being 2nd best to the Warriors but that's much better than anything the Rockets have done since Hakeem. Time for people to get over it.

Maybe this franchise didn't deserve Wemby with how so many Rocket fans bandwagon hate on Harden.

Look at how OKC treats their former stars like Westbrook, they understand he gave his best and still show him love. Harden gave his best here, it wasn't enough, fair enough, but he only quit on the team AFTER the owner quit on the team. If they had built a good roster around him he would have happily retired a Rocket, evidenced by the fact of him trying to come back to play for the team twice now. Not sure why anyone would even want Harden on a team that clearly was about to start tanking anyway.

I could see if Harden just ditched the team, insulted the franchise, fanbase, did a KD move...but he didn't. He wanted to compete for a ring and he and Morey made sure the Rockets got a haul of picks and assets that set up the next GM for success. It's not their fault that we didn't find that success.

I still can’t believe Kenny Atkinson allowed Brunson to go 1 on 1 vs Harden in space for an entire quarter…that was 1 of the most baffling coaching decisions I’ve ever seen

he also allowed an 18-1 run before calling a TO

    it’s truly incomprehensible

not even Ime would do that

and Harden actually played decent defense on some of those possessions and gave a good contest, but ain’t no way a 36 y/o is guarding one of the best and shiftiest scorers in the league 1 on 1

Exactly. People need to relook at the stat sheet for Game #6 in 2017 vs the Spurs. Harden (in his prime) had 10 pts on 2-11 shooting. All but 2 of his shots were from 3. 6 TOs, 6 fouls and practically quit. This is a team that had Ariza as our #2 option (not Howard, not Westbrook, not Paul).

So, what should’ve happened in that situation defensively?

The idiots that crawl outta caves to get over to this forum to hate on Harden... They baffle me.

Cavs got to the Conference Finals, and you idiots, after ONE GAME, can't help but just bash Harden immediately.

Harden is NOT coming here in any case. It's not even necessary for you to come here to even talk about this topic.

    Yet here you are.

Honestly, I don't know where clutchfans would go from here. Used to have a lot of really smart people, having nice discussions and sharing ideas. Now it's just almost all trolling.

Folks celebrating harden faltering in playoffs to justify what? Having fvv as our starting pg is the better choice?

    Cant take some folks seriously.
Maybe we deserve this shtty team bc like our stupid coach and gm, some fans would b petty and hate on harden than acknowledge that the pg position needs improvement and not have a bum like fvv as our starter.

Cope harder and celebrate harden failures cause God knows if or when we will have a talent like harden at the pg position again with this front office.

You could but Yao was like a guest to this country, where does he live now?

    Not in the States.

Foreigners do go to College here more times than not, internationals have come a long way.

OKC is different, not one word about Harden lol.....but he was their 6th Man of the Year.

LOL @ the losers putting all the blame on Atkinson for Harden sucking dick! How indafuq is it Atkinson’s fault for Frauden shooting 5-16 FG, 1-8 3PT AND turning the ball over 6 times? You same losers always claimed up and down that Frauden wasn’t a sieve on defense and that he was actually an underrated defender. Now yall are crying the coach didn’t pull him out in crunch time? You can’t be fcking serious.

Sounds more like a Frauden problem than a Kenny problem. It’s always brand new excuses year after year after year from the Frauden cult. Your guys’ lack of self awareness and accountability knows no bounds. SMH

"In the fourth quarter, the Knicks were able to get Harden to switch on to Brunson for nine isolations that averaged 1.9 points per action, according to the “All NBA Podcast.” In a stretch when Brunson scored 11 straight Knicks points to cap an 18-1 burst, Harden was the primary defender."

Meanwhile, here’s what Knicks head coach Mike Brown had to say in the other interview room:

"There is no secret, we were attacking Harden."

    --------

1.9?!?! I'm not sure if I was alone in a gym doing layup drills, I could average 1.9 points!

Seriously?! If we played 2 truths and a lie, giving up 1.9 points per possession is definitely the lie.

I don't think ANYBODY is arguing that FVV is the best option at PG in the league ...but James Harden has proved yet again, that he was not the answer to the Rockets problems. Sure, they probably get past the Lakers but then would have been swept by OKC.
