The previous most corrupt administration in US history was Warren G. Harding with the Teapot Dome Scandal. Teapot Dome Scandal wouldn't even make Trump's top 50 most egregious grafts from his second term. That, or maybe Aaron Burr's treasonous attempt to create his own country out of the Western USA. Pretty sure Trump could get away with that, too.

I genuinely don't understand what has happened to us. As little as 20 years ago none of this would have been acceptable for politicians on either side of the isle, congress would have banded together to stop it.

Literally every norm of respectable behavior prior to Trump has been made null and void.

I'm now going to be a 1 issue voter going forward. The only thing I care about is applying the law and precedent and clawing back all the money Trump has looted from us, and putting his family, friends and associates in prison for as long as is humanly possible. I don't have much hope for the party beholden to The Donald, but if the next Democratic President doesn't spend most of their time on that, I have no problem saying America is finished and done as a going concern.

It is funny that the same people that thought unarmed 110-pound Ashli Babbit was an imminent threat of death or great bodily injury to Liutenent Byrd suddenly think there is no danger to an ICE agent from a 4,000-pound minivan moving toward him. Of course, according to Lt. Byrd, he saved countless lives by stopping that one tiny killing machine. Interesting that the SWAT team standing within ten feet of her didn't seem to think it was critical to take her out though.

Have not seen enough of the evidence in the Pretti shooting to take a position. Clearly his gun was taken from him shortly before he was shot. It isn't clear exactly what precipitated the shooting. If and when any of the ICE agents involved are charged or sued, there should be more evidence available. I would say, with what I have seen so far, it doesn't look good for the ICE agents. Would be interested in the officer's statements. If they are as ridiculous as the statement given by Byrd, I'd lean toward murder charges.

Probably not interested, but I think private messages are still open.

It makes sense in reality, but not in that meme. First, let's take your numbers. The meme is straight up lying with the numbers to begin with as Harris actually recieved 75 million votes. That's a -7 off the total difference of 13 for a more accurate 6 million votes. Now let's look at total votes for Trump. He received 74 million votes in 2020 and 77 million in 2024 - since voter turnout was lower In 2024, we can deduce that 3 million of those Biden votes went to trump. Now the total vote difference is 3 million not the 13 that the meme suggests. Now we can look at total voter turnout. Total voter turnout in 2020 was 62.8% versus 57.8% in 2024 for a voter reduction of 2.1 million people. So if we take the Harris vote count at 48% of that, then that is another 1 million off the 13 million difference. So now the difference is reduced to 2 million votes. That is half the 4 million difference than between Obama 1 and Obama 2 and nobody called that election a fraud.
