How the way Wemby is dominating tonight, there's no way we can run it back as Sengun as our Center...if it doesn't break up the key core players, trade his a$$, FVV or Jabari, and then damn draft picks for Giannis.
Wemby is here to dominate, f*ck dem draft picks!

I wonder if the Einstein who thought of this watched todays game??

[Do they even know Wemby's stats are low because he played basically 1 quarter in 2 of his playoff games for reasons outside his control??]

Giannis may be the only guy who could counter Wemby.

Ok after watching game 1 of WCF, I prefer to get Giannis if he’s willing to start at C and Udoka is willing to start him there.

    Giannis
    Durant
    Bari
    Amen
    FVV

This both strengthens our window and shortens it. If we don't do well within 2 years, then we go full reset.

Oh jeezus christ. Trading for another aging star what could possibly go wrong?

Our bench is garbage, what do u think our incompetent coach gonna do? Spam kd giannis and fvv to a sht load of mins just to lose playoffs anyways.

If we r planning to trade sengun, u r gonna need a young star to build around not aging players

If you watched game 1 of San Antonio vs OKC, and thought the Rockets should “stay the course”, I don’t know what to say anymore. Is Giannis the answer? Probably not. Are there age concerns? Sure, but not as significant as they are w/ KD. But there’s no question the Rockets current core is not in the same universe as the (2) western conference finalists, probably never will be

I’ll never understand the infatuation with overpaying for an aging star. First and foremost, some of these so-called stars can’t carry a team by themselves. When you trade away multiple players and mortgage away your future by trading away draft picks, this is what you get… A dozen plus years of not having enough depth and all around young talent to win a championship.

If anything, we should be following the script by San Antonio.

Do we have a former Rocket overseas coaching an alien so that if we tank Adam Vampire can gift us the #1 pick to make sure he comes exactly where he wants to go?

If we trade for Giannis, the trade itself will kill the team.

The opposite team will ask for way too much in return, because we have so many players that are "good on paper" but haven't been proven in terms of winning.

Our players' value needs to develop first. Otherwise we will have nobody left on this team.

trade for Giannis and maybe become a pseudo-contender with a short shelf life, or don’t and continue to get passed by in the West…

Rockets are living that lose-lose situation life

the Jazz and Mavs will surpass us shortly…the Spurs lapped us in just a year

as long as the Wolves have Ant, they’re ahead

    Lakers are ahead with Luka

    Nuggets are ahead with Jokic

old ass Warriors would still beat us in a playoff series, but that team is on the verge of death

Rockets are truly about the 7th best team in the Western Conference right now…and most of the young core are what they are atp

you are banking on Amen magically finding a respectable jump shot or mediocre ass Reed Sheppard making some giant leap

Rockets just need to trade off everyone for draft picks and try not to bottom out... get as many middle of the pack teams draft picks and hope you can get multiple top 10 picks in three drafts back to back and hope you build something

So do what they just did and failed spectacularly at? We had multiple top 4 picks

A middle of the pack team is basically a low seed playoff team or play-in team. So you’re getting no lottery pick or at best one or two lottery balls.

and if y’all think Tilman is about to allow everyone to get shipped off for picks and the Rockets to engage in another 3-4 year draft lottery journey, I have some beach front property in Antartica for sale

if these dudes are getting traded, it’s in a package for a star

We never had two top five picks in one draft we had one top five pick in a few drafts l, can't fail if you have two shots to find a FP in the next three drafts.. so out of six players in the top 10 someone will be a FP.

So the Rockets are trading guys to low tier playoff/play-in teams while also at the same time not bottoming out, and the hope is we somehow luck into 2 top 5 picks in a draft?

    That’s the plan?

If we trade for Giannis, our only hope is that he bullies Wemby and inflicts a career ending injury on him.
