Well good news is with the new lottery system as long as we make play in we still have a good shot at a good draft pick o_O

Lol yeah, the new system encourages tanking more than anything I think...especially with OKC and SAS looking down at you

He might not be popular but he is probably the business face of the NBA for a decade.

    Yeah true
Imagine being a legit 4-5th seed team and you intentionally lose and slide down the standings to still make playoffs but get a top 12 pick.

This is going to screw up the league so bad :D

Listing to Wemby's Postgame interview, he said something so profound, "I trust the organization will do the right thing and put the right players around me."

IMMEDIATELY I THOUGHT, what would Stone do if the Rockets would have got Wemby???

    1) He would have signed FVV to a long term contract.

    2) He would have drafted Reed Sheppard because Wemby needed shooting around him.

    3) He would have signed Adams to teach him how to bang down low.

So basically, we'd be out in Round 1 with an unbalanced roster of small guards and slowfooted backups.

    Kind of funny and ironic.
We 1st gloated thinking we had a easy series
We lose and Lakers fans taunt & gloat us
Lakers get swept, we taunt & gloat them
OKC lose and Lakers fans AND Houston fans team up to gloat & taunt them lol

Right, it actually encourages lower seed playoff teams to maybe...drop out. Now of course, I guess their hope is that these teams have too many competitive players to do so but with the lottery being so random the bottom half of the playoff race will be interesting.

Especially since we see a lot of these spots are decided by 2-4 games here and there.

The rockets would've beaten that Warriors team if Paul hadn't gotten injured or if we could hit a three to save our life in game 7.. That series was ours to win

Yeah I said it earlier, this is EXACTLY why the league wasn’t going to let him come here because they feared we would ruin his legacy with shitty GM decisions

I mean the lower seeds still get 3-5% chance......it is not nothing, 8% is not the world either.

Everyone just gets shetty odds......some shettier than others. Lower teams just got the jackpot of shetty odds.

Like a 9 footer cannot break out in Houston even.......legacy lol....it's a farce.

Michael Jordan was not the goat because he was built like a Monstar........

He is intelligent, he has the best build of a body, and he can play bball.

And now he has the motivation and mentored by Pop and Hakeem the Dream.

It's wild how nobody cares about the NBA anymore. Nobody's watching. Nobody cares. The NBA has lost their credibility.

Duh… Wemby was visibly happy the Rockets didn’t get the #1 pick. He didn’t trust the decision makers in Houston. Mobley’s father is well connected in basketball circles and didn’t want his kid in Houston either.

They both were red flags about the Rockets organization.

Player development and intelligence and attention to detail all matter when an organization prepares young players.

May be too early to say this but OKC found their kryptonite in Wemby & Spurs.

He needs about 4 dpoy 4 mvp 4 rings 4 finals mvps and atleast 1 or 2 scoring titles and he will have a legit case career wise. But as far as modern NBA, last 30 years, yeah he a golden era player who could give work to any generation, most complete player I have ever seen, can affect every single possession on both sides, insane.
