On the other hand, Victor showed he's the best player in the NBA regardless of who won the MVP this year.

If the Spurs had closed this out in regulation, I think they would have had a good shot to drive a stake in OKC in game 2. But after 2 OTs tonight, I doubt they have enough gas in the tank.

It's possible this series ends up as a war of attrition, which would favor OKC. If not, unless OKC can contain Victor at least to some extent, the Spurs got this.

 

Crueler joke is that Spurs and Mavs are in the same Division.

Memphis might get Wilson or Boozer or Peterson.

 

My forlorn hope is that Wemby retires at age 30 like Jim Brown because he's simply too good at basketball to ever be interested in it again

depressed that the spurts won and that the Rockets “rebuild “ was a colossal failure and they will be irrelevant for another 5-10 years or more.

 

It’s BS that they rig the draft, but from a business perspective it made sense.
They made San Antonio and Oklahoma relevant and even mid tier cities like Detroit & Dallas have stars and bright futures.

im surprised they don’t just help UTah and rig for them to get a generational player too

 

Wemby dominates the other best defensive center in the league and Sengun looks like a rookie against Ayton and Jaxon Hayes.

 

It was always going to be a War of Attrition, that is why Spurs also ran the marathon for Number 1 Seed.

But they are getting the Whistle and Chips in the next Decade which is not Funny at All.

Even if OKC wins this year, it is more than unfortunate.
