They exercised it for 25-26. I don't think they have exercised it for 26-27. Plus he is on the disabled player list.

Anyway, more importantly, the guy sucks, another DD miss. Oh well.

Im sure you're 1k% correct but you can not deny his talents. Over 30-40% of the NBA are knuckleheads but we don’t hear about everything that goes on, unless someone decides to post it.

When you're giving 18-20yr old millions, you have to decide if the risk is worth the reward. And like I've always said, its a known fact that young men don't normally mature until they are 25 and older. i.e, KPJ

The deadline to pick up this year's option was 10/31/25. They exercised it on 10/29/25.

I doubt he gets another NBA contract. It say's something that he can't get on the floor with the leagues worst team. Maybe he'll play in China or the Philippine league .... lol

He wasn't even good enough to be the 7th or 8th man off the bench of a Washington team that won 22 games.

I can tell you that even if he stays with the wizards and not bought out or included as a salary match - and who have since improved quite a bit from when he couldn't get on the floor - he is not going to be in the rotation barring a huge surfeit of injuries.

I went to a game once where Cam had a really incredible dunk and we were sitting maybe 15 feet from the basket. It was thrilling - and for that reason alone I wish him success. It doesn't look like success is coming though. Not being able to work your way into the rotation on the Washington Wizards is a definite sign you're on your way out of the league.

He was in the rotation and was up and down like any 20 year old.

He may not hit, but you don’t give up on 20 year olds with that skill set.

I would agree about MOST 20 year olds, but Cam is a different story. An uncoachable player with a bad attitude will probably never figure it out. I get even more delusional Rashad Mcants vibes from the kid.

That's fair, what makes you think he isn't coachable? What is your evidence? That Ime a Terrible coach gave up on him? Like he did with Pritchard?

Cam would have beaten him to a pulp.......probably what KD needs, TBH.

If Cam truly is one of their best players, why would his coach say he wasn't meeting expectations thereby endangering the relationship with one of their best players? Or why would he bench him for making the same boneheaded plays like he did as a Rocket?

Cam's problem there has been what Cam's problem was here. He plays basketball like it's a playground. He ignores plays and others. For the most part, he's just looking for highlight plays/dunks. He's been told what to work on and where he's been lacking according to Udoka, but just as he starts improving, he seems to revert to the "me first" Cam. Same thing was happening in Washington where he acted like his only purpose in life was to launch shots, ignore defense, and ignore teammates. Then he had his clotting issues. I know fans in the Wizards subreddit were already getting tired of him, but let's see if things change. He's already getting knocked down a peg or so on the depth charts with the Wizards getting the #1 pick.

Multiple reports of his college coach not really standing up for him when asked about him, Rockets staff seemingly couldn't get through to him, and almost immediately on arrival getting benched and yelled at by the Wizards coaching staff for not doing as told.

It still pisses me off I thought we got a steal in this kid when the issue all along that was "hidden" may have been between his ears. In many ways, I thought outside of maybe Amen, he had the most potential of anybody we drafted.

I can't imagine all of you judging a 21 year old were polished at your profession at 21 - I am sure that you were all complete grownups.....lol.....come on now.

Cam may not make it, but it won't be because of talent, it will be because he needs to mature - the right coach could reach him and take him to a very high level - his talent is better than most on the Rockets right now, he just needed time and a good coach, IMHO.

If you pay attention, people will show you exactly who they are.

Cam has done just that - many times.

Yep, he has talent. He just can't stop being who he is long enough to make use of it.

What you’re describing sounds like a.lack of maturity, which is what Ive been saying all along. With some players, men, women or whoever, it takes time
