I’m beyond blown away that YOU, who cares so much about value and not overpaying, would view brown as anything other than a MASSIVE albatross when he’s gonna make 35-36% of the cap.

I call this piece "CONTEXT." Remember kiddies, darker spots means better shooter! More spots means they actually take them!

Oh don't get me wrong, I don't want him, but he's still worth WAY more than Ameiz or Alpi, by miles. See artistic piece "CONTEXT" above.

Idk what Ameiz is but sengun at 21% is worth WAY more than brown at 36%. Brown is a massive negative, I would not even consider taking on his contract without multiple unprotected firsts.

Nah you lost me there bro. I like Alpi but I doubt you'd get 10 GM's in the league saying he's more valuable than Jaylen Brown.

At their current contracts you would take sengun for brown straight up (if it was legal)?

I’m sorry the only statistics worth quoting are FG% and 3pt% I guess. Age doesn’t matter, coaching doesn’t matter, potential doesn’t matter, teammates don’t matter only what a 1 1/2 year starter shoots form the 3 pt line is important. I’ve watched almost every Rocket game or listened on the radio to every Rocket game since 1987. I missed 1 Rocket game this year. I’m bowing out of the conversation now, since we are just going in circles. I do appreciate that we were able to debate for a while without as much vitriol as in the past.

Brown making 35-36% of the cap is a massive albatross, i wouldn't touch that with a 1000000 foot poll, HELL NO. The worst thing you can do in the nba is pay a good player great player money. Now if sengun was also making 35% that's a different story, i'd take the wing over the big.

The players matter. Let's compare shall we?
    Jaylen Brown
Masters at Berkeley - legit one of the most intelligent players in NBA history
    NBA Champion
    NBA finals MVP
    5 x All Star
    All NBA Second team
    NBA all-rookie second team
    First team all Pac-12
    Pac-12 Freshman of the year
    McDonald's All American
    First team Parade All American
    Mr Georgia Basketball

    Ameiz Thompson
Didn't go college to play against high schoolers, named "Ameiz XLNC" and too stupid to learn a jump shot at any point in his life whilst trying to be a basketball player
NBA All Defensive first team (props)
    NBA all rookie second team
    OTE Champion (LOL)
All-OTE first team (LMAO - playing against high schoolers)

One has pedigree. The other has a twin.

I'd take the bona fide star player and trade him to another dumbass for enough capital to restart our failed rebuild tbh.

Yes give me Jalen Brown. If kd stays then we move assets to get him legit help. Jabari amen and reed are keepers for now. The rest can all go.

In what universe would Jaylen allow that to happen?

Man idk how many GMs are left at this point that would look at brown as anything beyond an albatross. You'd have to immediately cross off all teams that believe in analytics or any on/off and all teams that don't watch the games. Maybe someone like a Joe Dumars? Not many options.

I wasn't aware he had a no-trade clause tbh. We're talking in crazy hypothetical land where a Sengun/Brown straight swap is possible, if that can happen then we can trade Brown for more assets than Sir Twerkalot. I was answering a question about would I do a straight swap Brown for Sengun if it was legal, anybody who wouldn't really doesn't understand asset management, because we'd have got away with highway robbery.

I think you're giving WAY too much credit to GMs in the NBA. Seriously, just go look at the trade lists for the last 3 years? Your Morey analytics fantasy world simply doesn't exist.

But you would have to be SO stupid to take on brown, you’re still just limited to maybe the pels and kings?

He doesn't but he has the clout to make it extremely difficult simply by refusing to report. Yeah we are talking a silly hypothetical no need to take this one any further.

We're not though are we? Seriously go look at the trades from the last 3 seasons. ****, we did one ourselves and fully tanked our chemistry for an over the hill Durant. Great TS% though so I'm sure you loved that one. Teams make stupid trades for "stars" all the time, especially ones who score over 28 ppg, history's on my side more than yours.
