Honestly I'm still slow to fully come around on him with the lack of shooting. But at least he is impressing. I am okay being wrong sometimes

I hope I'm wrong with Ameiz, if not we may give a near max extension to somebody who couldn't hit the side of a barn from 5ft.

Amen’s brother was a big problem on offense for Detroit because he cannot shoot. The Cavs didn’t even pretend to guard him on the perimeter. It’s not impossible but very hard to win with a perimeter player that cannot stretch the court.

Reed over castle is the bigger miss. Michael Wilbon from PTI just called castle the next SGA.

He can score off the dribble, pass, rebound, plays great defense.

Green over Mobley is a miss, but Mobley isn’t a franchise player, and neither are Wagner and Barnes.

Bill Simmons and all his little minions were calling Mobley the next Garnett and Duncan. He’s just an 18 and 8 pick n roll big that can’t really create his own shot.

Yeah don't get me wrong, I hope for all of our sake that I'm wrong, but the evidence clearly suggests I'm not and giving Ameiz a big chunk of the salary cap would be heinous mismanagement when he should be really getting 30 per at the most with his clear offensive deficiencies.

Amen was a big problem on offense for the Rockets too for the exact same reason... not as big a problem as Ime, but still a problem.

I was out on Reed because no matter how he develops, we can't change his short arms and tiny baby body. Skills can be learned but height can't. I wanted Buzelis or Castle there. With Jalen I feel like we should've administered an IQ test though....

Jalen's issues genuinely were more than IQ I think. Dude probably needs actual therapy, the swings are way too wide. Complete dumbasses don't get the peaks he had, most players spend their whole careers never hitting those kind of big games. There's got to be more than just basketball IQ involved in how much variance he had that was linked to his confidence.

I don't want to be mean but I didn't mean basketball IQ. I meant real IQ. And I dont think you need to be a genius to be good at basketball but there's a certain threshold where it starts to be detrimental.

Oh he's clearly a dumbass, but show me the other complete r****ds who put up that many 40pt games on crazy efficiency? ****'s crazy.

Maybe he's a savant who has very specific conditions to activate his potential. Like if he has exactly 6 and a half chicken nuggets with honey mustard sauce exactly 2 hours before the games, he activates his basketball genius mode.

Don't put ideas out there, we can't have the Suns figuring that **** out and making us look stupid after the Katie Dickerson fiasco! (lol)

    Castle for sure.

We have 5 seasons of data on Mobley. He's just not that guy.

I'm still with Green over Mobley. This past season was literally Reed's rookie year. The guy barely got playing time his first season. The Green pick still hurts. Mobley is a hell of a defensive bigman and definitely one we could have used.

As the first person on earth warning the Rockets not to draft REED SHEPPARD I feel that I am the authority on this subject -- letting Castle fall to the Spurs has set the Rockets organization back two decades.

Sidenote: Reed would probably be playing a role more suited to his skillset with the Spurs and would look much better. Castle's size and aggressive defense would be a better fit here than Reed -- he's really exactly what we needed.

I don't think you understand the word "literally." It was literally his second year in the NBA, his rookie year was LITERALLY the year before.

    Nobody talks about Mobley.
Reed over Castle might haunt us for years.

Basically the rockets should either start tanking again or hoping for an injury because Wemby is the best player in nba history already. The way he changes a teams entire offense is crazy. The thunder are soo scared to go in the paint right now. He’s 22 and he’s probably favorites to win his first ring already…

We have yet to see Reed’s upside. Conversely, we know how good Mobley is.

He’s not the best player ever, yet. Despite his amazing year, I’m still not high on his future. I think he’s going to end up being one of those injury prone ‘amazing if he’s healthy’ players like Rose was.

OKC is the heavy favorite to repeat.
