I’d certainly blame the politicians and people who put them in place, but by blame, not necessarily a hope for eternal damnation.

People will make mistakes (sometimes, horribly foolish) in a democracy and the hope is that we can come together and get it right eventually.

 

Yeah a democracy in name only ever since Citizens’ United and the tilt of the Supreme Court to the far right it’s all an illusion. Gerrymandering and bribery out in the open. You can lie to yourself, but no one else with sense is buying that bullshit.
