Send him to the clippers for the 12th pick. These contenders are young and will probably compete for the next 6-10 years. We need to get young at the very least.

If we can’t get the 10-11th pick in this draft, I would trade KD for McDaniels and Dicenzo in a second. Both are good fits, Durant is not.

    LAC’s 12th pick is OKC’s now.

I don’t think they would throw in McDaniels without Amen or Reed also. Honestly I would be tempted.

Would absolutely give up Amen for McDaniels.

Jackson Gatlin came up with KD to the clippers for the 5th pick in this years draft, Benedict mathurin, and Derrick Jones. You get a young guy with potential, a solid bench guy in Jones and a shot at a star with the 5th.

I think Houston definitely does that deal. Not sure the clippers would lol.

The question I would have is….. does that cut into Reed’s playing time if Houston takes a pg with the 5th.

I honestly don’t think it matters. Reed and Fred are literally our only two guards under contract. Fred is going to play sparingly coming off an ACL at such an old age. He’s also an expiring contract. Both Fred and Reed can play off ball. Ideally u want 3 guards that can play both on and off ball. But my point is that we need another guard on the roster besides Reed that will be here past next season.

They might if we add our 2-27 picks.

No one wants those 2027 picks. It’s like the money the coal company would print for the miners to use exclusively at the general store…owned by the coal company.

I could see either Sengun or KD going to Miami for Kel'el Ware and Herro

KD for the 5th pick sounds r****ded

you don’t go from being worth Jalen Green and the 10th pick to being worth the 5th pick in a stronger draft a year later at age 37

    be for real

The KD trade market will be there. Detroit, Minnesota, Golden State, Toronto all certainly would be willing to part with real stuff for him, for example.

The question isn't the market. Nor is it whether or not KD should be traded (he obviously should).

The question is whether KD/KD's camp/Ime/Stone/vets have the organization by the balls, so that we can't trade KD.

Like, are the Houston Rockets just a KD vehicle now? With KD having the influence to squash trades elsewhere (since Stone/Ime's career incentives are so tied to the "KD Rockets" working).

That's the tension. Whether that group of middle aged guys has co-opted the Rockets, and the Fertittas are OK with it because KD/Ime/vets give the org NBA legitimacy when we were a joke a few years ago.

We'll see this summer. Hope not.

I don’t think they are in high demand, but I don’t think they are worthless either. The Clippers might bite since they could maybe unload Garland on us and have a decent shot next year with KD and Kawhi. They could then unload both mid 27 and have more cap space than anybody in the league. The 2-27 picks are both lottery picks and even draft’s like Reed’s draft produced some really good players. Of course, they could just take their pick this year and run it back and do the same with Kawhi and Garland and pass on having good draft picks in 27. It’s worth a shot. I do believe if we want a top 5-6 draft pick in this draft we will have to sacrifice Sengun and picks to get it. I think we could get no. 5 for Amen pretty much straight up, but I hope the Rockets aren’t stupid enough to do that.

Of course I’m kidding. They are worth something. But they unfortunately aren’t even close to the value of #5 in this draft, which is why Stone made a big mistake trading out of this draft.

That trade is literally impossible because Mathurin is a free agent and you cannot combine outgoing salary in a sign and trade deal.
The only way it works is signing Mathurin to a deal worth a little over $35m and executing a simultaneous trade for Jones.

    Nobody is paying Mathurin $35million.

It works for McDaniels and DiCenzo, but I would imagine the Wolves pass on that one.

Um... the LLM you queried needs a roster update.
