Salvy is just trying to create a whataboutism. Whatever people believe Pelosi might or might not have done pales in comparison to the insane levels of corruption coming out of this current regime.

Member of Congress being able to trade stocks when they have insider knowledge is an issue that needs to be addressed, but it's a completely different topic. Don't let this hack derail into a lazy whataboutism.

Trump is the most corrupt leader I think I have ever seen in the history of global politics. Find me someone else in history as nakedly corrupt. 1.7 Billion dollars being stolen from taxpayers to pay himself and his cronies. What are we Fcking doing here people???

It's not just whataboutism. They believe it. In the right-wing echo chamber, everyone is as corrupt as Trump, if not more so. There is no thinking beyond that. It's a sad reality, but it's what I see over and over.

dizzying height of whataboutism, skirting the issue at hand

    food for thought,

Pelosi and hubby were multi-millionaires even B4 she ran for congress.
but that's no excuse for her insider trading.

Pelosi was not the POTUS, she never had the inside info like a POTUS

as a lawmakers, Pelosi never made more thant 3 thousand trades in a quarter

law makers and, in particular, members of the white house, should not be able to trade stocks based on insider info

Nancy Pelosi was already worth a few million dollars when she was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1987. Of course being married to a venture capitalists who had been running his own firm for over a decade at the time will do that. The overwhelming vast majority of her current net worth is tied to her husband and his firm.'

Her and her husband’s investments are mostly in major tech companies like Nvidia, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and Apple, along with around $45 million in commercial and residential real estate.

I don't know why most folks @Salvy are too dumb to know Pelosi husband literally owns a hedge fund and was filthy rich before they came into office. The Pelosi made majority of their wealth from tech stocks and her husband is based out of SF nd is well connected and helped give seed money to tons of start up.

Now Trump is relaxing sanctions and giving tariff exemptions to specific corporations after he buys stock in them nd these loser cultists Salvy @Os Trigonum still don't grasp the sheer level of corruption

Nancy Pelosi husband isn't in congress. Are you literally braindead? I don't like Nancy Pelosi at all but comparing her to Trump who gets to write the rules and dictate policy is night and day difference. Trump can single handily give tariff exemptions or give contracts to a company he buys stock in.

@deb4rockets look at the sheer corruption. His low iq cult @Os Trigonum have their heads too far up his ass

I put that guy and the rest you constantly argue with on ignore a long time ago.

Yes, of course Trump is corrupt. He's always been corrupt, and he's always been a lying pig. That will never change.

Yet your low iq dumbass still can't point to a single democratic admin that was actively trading stocks or suing themselves for billions. Then again you don't have the ability to critically think which is why you're a MAGAT.

The question should no longer be “Can Trump do x…?”

The question should be “Does anyone have the power to stop Trump if he wants to do X…?”

Nothing can stop Trump from writing on a piece of paper that he is pardoning himself or “truthing” that he’s pardoning himself. So yes he can pardon himself. The question is if a future admin (assuming we are fortunate enough to not have to live under Trump family rule for the rest of our lives) could still indict him (yes citing grounds that his pardon is illegal) and when Trump files a lawsuit to throw out the indictment that goes up to the Supreme Court, what they eventually decide.

My guess is this Supreme Court in 2029-10 or whenever likely rules yes President Trump, and probably Trump alone, has some special unique privilege to pardon himself. However they’ll find some novel way to make sure they could rule against a future Democrat president pardoning themselves just like they did giving themselves the power to rule over any decision to indict a president for crimes committed in office.

So yes im 99.9% positive Trump can and will pardon himself. I also think there’s no way he willingly leaves office on his own in 2029 anyways so we’ll probably get Trump crime resolution before that in February 2029 when either Trump is still in power illegally or if he wasn’t successful with his 2.0 coup and he’s likely killed (sorry but this often happens in coups) or is taken to jail immediately by the military or something.

So it’s a question that’s probably moot. We’ve got bigger questions to ask before we get to that point. He ain’t leaving on his own folks.
