Another thing gone. Growing up the ticket stub was our souvenir. We did not get t shirts because as my father would say that cost money. Then there was the printable e ticket but not the same. Now you don't get a ticket just use your phone and it's gone. I had a tac board with my concert and Astros game tickets stubs on it. Charlie Pride, Huey Lewis, George Strait, Alabama, Journey, Def Leppard, Restless Heart, Johnny Lee, ect. . .
We have a bunch of framed classic albums lining our game room. If it's an artist we've seen, we put the old school ticket stub in the frame. I have The Police (of course), Rush (of course), Sting, Journey, Earth Wind and Fire, Kool and the Gang, Lionel Richie, Styx, Def Leppard, Steve Miller ...wife has Prince, Barry Manilow, Kenny Rogers... These were all concerts before they did away with paper tickets.
Not a concert, but I have my tickets to WCF and Finals from 1994 framed around a poster that says Mission Accomplished and has the team breaking out right after player introductions....and separately, the ticket to Game 4 of 1995 Finals with the cover of SI that had Drexler and Dream on it. Occurs to me that today you don't get those either....
You can always print the printable ticket. The nostalgia will be there when you unearth it in 20 years.
