Do you really want a QB on the team you root for that only works hard in a contract year?

There will still be excuses made if CJ doesn't play well.

Are you the same guy that said all the hateful things about CJ the night he was drafted? Just personal insults and other trash. Was that you?

I never said hateful things about him as a person.
I said I hated the pick. Argued with some people and talked trash to them for sure.

He is at OTA's, and will attend all minicamps. He has been working out since 3/2/26 in Houston. He can't attend a social function on a weekend? I see other players are basketball games and such. Your hate for CJ is over the top.

Yes, I want a real QB that can help THIS team get to the Superbowl. You have never been young, I take it. Did he rest on his "rookie year" accolades, likely, Did he go play around too much. Could be. But none of that matters, get that trophy now, Don't care if he is the POS that you seem to think he is. If he get's it between his head to get it done, AND DOES. All is forgiven and he will get massive new contract. That's all that is important.

I'm all for him winning a SB. Unfortunately the types of QB's that win SB's have burning desires to win and aren't the tpye of guys that only work hard in contract yrs.

He can do whatever he wants to do.No hate here, I actually respect that the man stands on his Christian values.

It doesn't affect my life a bit.

But dont give me the he's working so hard when we see him at events like this, down in the Bahamas etc... He actually may be working harder than he used too and that's the scary part.

He didn't get a chance to throw last off season due to injury. Neither did he throw much in camp. They got off to a slow start but got on a winning streak.

CJ has been in the league 3 yrs and won 3 playoff games, more than Dak, Herbert, and Lawrence ALL who got paid....SO, WHY CAN'T THEY PAY CJ?

Do you work 7 days a week, when you don't have to? NFL players work 6 days a week from Late July til Early January (sometimes 7 days a week).

So, if he went hunting or fishing...it wouldn't be an issue? Right?

My wife is 60 years old and has worked 7 days a week her whole life without any time off or vacation. If you are not working then you don’t want it bad enough. Hell CJ only has to do it until he is between 30-40

You won't find any other NFL player working 7 days a week in the offseason. Sorry, doesn't happen.

When I was 23-37 yrs old I worked between 12-16 hrs a day 5 days a week with some Saturdays mixed in. I certainly wasn't doing what CJ's doing and talking about how hard I was working.

Do you think CJ has a burning desire to ba a GOAT, or bring a championship to Kirby?

More like he's working because he wants to get paid.

Since the age of 18, she's worked a total of 15,330 days, 919,800 hours and 7,358,400 minutes....she deserves a day off

Um, CJ is not the one talking.

And you are not a professional player. They don't have to work 7 days a week for 16 hours during their OFFSEASON. Sort of the perks of the job.
These players play because they want to WIN. They are already Millionaires from the NIL money and rookie contracts.

You tell her she needs a day off!! Buddy I have tried to get her to back off. By the way by the time she turned 18 she was already riled up and working. She comes from hard working people. I tell her that I balance her out..

    You asked and I answered

Some do , it appears CJ isn't one of those guys. Would you say CJ has the same desire and puts in the time that his peers put in? I know he didn't after year one and it sure looks like he didn't after year two. I'll believe it when I see it after year 3. I'm sure he was looking at game film down in the Bahamas.

I'm sure that is part of it, but I believe CJ's working harder because of the embarrassment and shame he felt after the Playoffs. I really think that is his biggest motivator. With his faith, I believe the man also has a lot of pride and seeks to be the best he can be.

There seems to be a deliberate attempt to disrupt the focus using CJ and projecting antagonize into the locker room.

To paraphrase, they project CJ as upset he's not getting a top 3 contract after poor performances in the playoffs. They seem to assume that has no affect on his value, whether there were correctable causes of hi performance. In the alternative, they project that C J has already been broken and cannot learn and thrive in the future.

Both sides have an interest in proving he deserves a top QB contract with corrections to both his surroundings and his health and focus. There is no need for antagonism when he is under contract for two more seasons even before Franchise Tag options are considered.

The source of this "conflict" seems too convenient for those who benefit from a weakened Texans team.
