This regime isnt interested in shooters. Theyre of the Masai Ujiri mold where you draft measurables that can defend and hope they learn to shoot.

No way ime can develop and/or play a 39th pick. These guys will see garbage time if they are lucky.

[IMG] It’s not the first time I’m rooting for the Rockets to pick up Sergio, a good shooting point guard from Spain

“We’ll look at the back end of the roster for shooting”
“We don’t want just a shooter”
“We are not a developmental team anymore”

sold on this guy, phone it in, move into the first to get him.

6-7 PG with those numbers is bonkers especially at a professional level as a teenager.

    These are per 36:

Euro league last year: 4.4 fouls, 4.6 to's (14 games)

Liga ACB last year: 5.7 fouls, 4.9 to's (22 games)

Euro league this year: 5 fouls, 4.3 to's (26 games)

Liga ACB this year: 3.1 fouls, 3.7 to's (24 games)

He can shoot and pass, but he's had some serious TO/foul problems, indicating he has a very tough time processing the game/dealing with physicality. He improved a decent bit during this season, but did just as bad during this years euro-league.

He's interesting, but there's a reason he's projected as a 2nd, he's still has to develop quite a bit. A legitimate draft and stash prospect.

Someone several years ago made a thread telling us to draft Sengun. Maybe lightning can strike twice.

But as someone else already said there's zero possibility of Udoka giving a 2nd rounder playing time when Sheppard barely sniffed garbage time his rookie year.

Always room for an Armoni Brooks/Troy Daniels/Mason Jones on the roster

Sadly, I agree with the others. As much as they NEED something like this, they probably won't go for it. With the exception of Reed, who REALLY feels like a bizarre draft pick in hindsight, the Rockets don't give a **** about shooting.

I could see them drafting him for his size and defensive potential at the position though. He's huge for a point guard. I don't know **** about this kid except that when I play MyNBA on 2k I frequently draft him in the 2nd round and he turns out to be a solid starting point guard. And obviously 2k is like 1000% accurate.

Then why’d they take Reed Sheppard over Castle?

This thread is so last year ....

I'd sure take a look at him at #39.

Only reason I'd pas is if Henri Veesaar was still there which I highly doubt, I've heard there is at least 1 nba team that will use a first round pick on him.

Sergio de Larrea would easily be my next option there.
