And I’m not talking about the token SNF or MNF or whatever you want to call the streaming platform games. The national 3:15 game is now truly only showing the marquee team the networks and the nation really want to see. Even the Bengals are still getting one (because Burrow, if healthy, is still elite).
This is supposed to be the 7th easiest schedule......like WTF, we get to play all cold a$$ games to end the season? This schedule is daunting, but you know what, if iron sharpens iron then let's play the best teams and see what happens, the start is hard the end is hard and the middle is mediocre
so the bills, with a new head coach, are coming into our home opener as favorites? what don't i understand?
Because no one takes the Texans as serious contenders when they continue to crap the bed in marquee matchups. Those 315pm matchups are supposed to be for true contenders, heavyweight matchups where either team can win. When the Texans match up with the best of the best, more times than not we lose, and we lose big. Burrow made it to the SB once so people still view him as capable of pulling out any game.
Gotta feeling the defense will reach its pinnacle this year. So much talent that you can’t keep them all. IF CJ doesn’t **** the bed again and gets his big contract guys like Lassiter and Hunter likely won’t be retained. Going to enjoy it and can’t wait to see McDonald wreck shop!
Well we did go 0-3 to begin the season last year. I really hope the 1st team offense plays at least the first half this year during preseason, unlike last year.
This frustrated me last year. It's one thing to hold out a veteran line who's played together for a season or more. But quite another to waste the opportunity to let them mash before the season. Especially now that Training camp contact is so limited.
Two questions. The book beginning this season is for the Texans as favorites in 14 of 17 games and each of those by under a FG. 1. What are the chances we exceed a 14-3 record? 2. What are the chances we go undefeated?
2 of the last 3 times the Texans played the Cowboys have been in a primetime slot. 2018 was SNF in Houston and 2024 was MNF in Arlington. Not putting this one in primetime is a questionable call given the other teams that got the SNF and MNF slots, but don't act like the reason is because the Texans are "irrelevant" when 2 of the 3 last meetings that hasn't been the case.
