I was pissed too. But there was an explanation - bigger picture, they are trying to see if they can stretch out Teng to be a full starter. Of course, doing it in season and in MLB games is a costly way to figure things out, but it’s where we are. I don’t like it, but at least that reason is better than Espada is too stupid to know when his pitcher is gassed.

There's just no spark with this guy....he's like "chok," soft white rice in lukewarm water.

Sounds like my kind of round. First coach I ever went to, she asked what I wanted to work on. I said "the shot after a good shot." I'm trying to change my focus now to get a bogey. I feel it coming this year, finally.

Shot 79 today at Trump Doonbeg (not any kind of a political statement, it’s an amazing course that will host the Irish Open this fall on the DP tour)

Finished off 9 days in Ireland playing 6 of Golf Digest top 100 courses in the world

Kept every round under 90 including an 89 at LaHinch in 40+ winds. That course will host the Walker Cup this year which is the amateur tournament between the US and GB/Ireland. The 89 in the conditions we played in was probably my best round all things considered

Now to be fair, we played most of these courses between 6,000-6,300 yards not from back tees, but we are all 60+ and can’t hit it like we used to

    Work on chipping and putting

If you can get the ball in the hole in two shots once it’s close to or on the green, you will start finding a lot of bogies and even pars. It’s not as fun as practicing the longer clubs, but it’s the easiest way to score

Great game but it’s fkng hard

Chipping is what's killing me lately. Putting has been relatively solid but if I'm not getting on from my approach, I tend to be in trouble. Been using a lot more Texas wedges lately

My green fees pay for maintaining the entire course and I'm gonna use the entire course.

It's kind of crazy to me that Joe Espada still has a job right now. Maybe if we get swept by the Rangers that will change.

I think someone gets fired if they get embarrassed by Texas.

There has to be some kind of a spark somewhere...

I will be surprised if Espada goes on this next road trip. Just a hunch,

We have some really fantastic tracks, and if you’re a sadist you can play year around but I gave that up. 112 temps with a 5-7 mph breeze, yea no thank you. They over-seed here last of Sept/first of October and are fully open with no restrictions around Christmas but it’s excessively expensive ($75 muni to $300 Troon) so unless I have a GC taking me out or a fundraising scramble I go out between late Feb to late April/May, still pristine conditions with lower rates. For someone visiting, that’s when I’d come out.

PHI 12-4 since the day they fired Topper, probably just a coincidence but still……

I mean it’s probably not all slow Joe’s fault but he has zero value add.

I was kind of expecting it Thursday evening. I think of Thursday was an off day it might have happened.
