Let's Trade for James Harden

Must be fake cause I was told Harden is the worst playoff performer ever.

 

I still stand by my belief that Fred was the right choice in the 2023-24 season. The Rockets needed a steady veteran who wasn't going to overshadow the young core.

But I felt that Harden was by far the better option in 2024-25 and clearly he would've been preferable to Fred this past season given he didn't play a single game for us. Also, if the organization is gonna stupidly stick with Ime and his non-existent offense, then you damn well better have someone as gifted as Harden who on his own serves as the system.

 

Fred was NEVER the right choice. His job was to slow the team down. Stone and Ime picked him because there was no pressure with him and bet on him having a longer career. Harden would have meant an immediate pressure to win. Harden would have penetrated defenses and turned Sengun into a PnR monster like Capela when he first started and Zubac. Jalen would have been exposed much sooner because he would have had less runway to run the offense due to FVVs limitations. Jabari would be the same. Reed would have had more opportunities earlier. Amen would have flourished without the pressure to be the PG.

Harden at this stage of his career is still wayyyyyyy better than any pg we have running our teams offense.

If u cant even acknowledge that simple fact, u r simply a harden hater.

Its fine if folks didnt want harden but planning to run it back with fvv after a season ending injury or not going for a competent pg this season was just stupid.

Harden was a main reason for that. he was literally sonnin Mitchell and the jazz

Choosing FVV over James is actually insane to me. Harden's game has aged so well too, I could see him (barring major injury ofc) playing at this level for 2-3 more seasons and he makes the game easier for young players who all have improved their game playing with him.

Double dumb for Ime since Harden would have just ran his offense.

 

Then demand a trade in a year

 

Pistons zeroed in on Harden and basically allowed Allen free paths to the basket.

Ironically, the Rockets actually have Amen and maybe other defenders that could switch on to a player like Brunson. No idea why the Cavs coach let Harden get beat constantly down the stretch. Try a different player on Brunson or double team. Do something other than 1-1 with Harden. I feel bad for Harden in this game as other deserve criticism as well for the loss.
