My understanding is a bunch of the worst inflation/scarcity effects, like fertilizer cost, happening now won't hit until next year, but are all 100% baked in, so no matter what, even if they opened the strait today, inflation's going to be out of control for the forseable future, and should actually get worse than it is now before it gets better, even if nothing negative happens to effect it going forward. Get used to it.
I have heard that there is global oil shortage that will take ~65 weeks to get back to normal, once the Straits of Trump's Folly is re-opened. OIOW once the Straits are fully reopened, it will take more than a year before oil returns to pre-Trump Iran Excursion prices.

The sad part is Biden finally got prices down after the pandemic caused inflation around the globe, and Trump started a war and drove them all back up around the world. The other sad part of that chart is that they misspelled coffee.
Every couple of months I'll get the footlong All-American Club with double meat for about $15. It's way more food than 2 guys need, I've been known to cut my half in half for lunch and eat the other at night.
