Cam should be in minors. Matthews too. Cam looks like his trying to fix launch angle which results (as with everybody not MLB level bat) as horrible whiffs. We have like 3-4 nine spot hitters every night. Matthews not being outfielder shows. Horrible reads off the bat. I know we don't have much in minors but put the carusel in motion still. Bring some kids/journeymen up, send these two down. They are not ready, Matthews probably never will be. Cam looks so confused in the box. Hopefully he is not one of these promising prospects who have no clue what pitchers are trying to do to him (the book on him) so he has no chance to adjust other than launch angle stuff.
Dana rushed him because it looked promising, but once he hit the wall last year, they should have focused on developing and fixing his weaknesses. Send him down to Sugarland already.
This is 100% true But Dana is in a bad spot here This is his first #1 pick and the jewel of the Tucker trade. If he sends them down admitting that neither is an mlb talent, at least not yet, that could seal his fate Plus there is absolutely no one in the organization that is likely to be any better unfortunately, so he wouldn’t even likely get the benefit of the team potentially starting to win more I really believe about the only way Dana hangs on is for Cam and Brice to suddenly take off and help lead the team to success, and that is so so unlikely
If Cam didn't destroy ST last year, he would have been in AAA. They thought he could be a guy who could help...ooops? He should be in AAA now.
