Can't say much about KD. Almost getting swept by old man LeBron and poor man Lakers bench.

Might have done better without him playing that series, TBH. He was a mannequin in 6 of the 7 games. Zero impact.

I think Dillon was more important to that - and I cannot imagine us not taking the Lakers to 7 with Dillon on this team. That said, we'd have gotten swept in the second round - so does it even matter?

Why would you be bragging about a guy who was a total negative in 6 out of 7 games.

    What a moronic thread.

My problem with Jalen was the contract we gave him. It was clear to me by year 3-4 he wasn’t gonna be a superstar. I still thought his floor was microwave 6th man, which is still a valuable player. But I didn’t think he was our starting 2-guard of the future. If we had given him what the Blazers gave Shaden Sharpe (low $20’s) I would have been happy keeping him. But I didn’t want to be locked into Jalen at $36 mil for another 3-4 yrs. Jalen’s contract was a self inflicted wound that hastened his departure from Houston. I like the kid and wish him success.

Agree with most of this. He's a guy who can get hot and win you a game (i.e. the play-in game against the Warriors) who would be best suited to carry an offense for stretches against bench units. If he were making ~$15-20 million a year he'd be a worthwhile player to have on a roster, or even better something like the 3 year/$28 million deal Ty Jerome is on. As-is he's way overpaid, especially with a player option he won't exercise if somehow it all comes together for him with consistency.

I don't necessarily wish him well though as long as he's with Phoenix since him performing poorly improves the Rockets prospects. I'll wish him well if/when that's no longer the case.

No, it's all about players making the team better.

Which Jalen Green clearly doesn't do, so why exactly would we want him dragging the team down in the playoffs?

There's still time to delete this thread.

I'm not the biggest fan of the KD trade but considering what we gave up, it was worth the shot. I really don't think Jalen is ever gonna be a productive NBA player. If he were still here we'd all be complaining about that contract. I don't want to be too mean but I think he might just be too dumb for the NBA. I know you don't have to be a genius to be good at basketball but whenever Jalen speaks he just sounds dumb dumb. Like can't remember where coach told him to stand dumb.

Jalen green still a raw player, tbh I would of not traded the guy. Think we lost the trade injury or not. What does KD retirement farewell really bring us that Dillon Brooks couldnt have? Plus another pick in draft, was a bad trade and everyone knows it.

I would rather have him Dillion and our pick back AND our Jersey pick back than KD.

Refresh my memory: with Green we were the 2 seed and lost to the 7 seed?
He shot garbage (and repeated the dose this year).

I get he was your favourite player, but he's not the guy.

I’d rather have kept green his contract is done after next season. And traded the pick for another future first. You could have even traded brooks for a future late 1st and signed someone (not dfs) in FA to replace him.

Talking about Jalen Green is like talking about an ex girlfriend, but you upgraded to a better girl...leave the trash in the past

The Warriors were not a true 7th seed. They were the best team in the league when they got jimmy.
