Started looking at the draft stuff today to become a draft expert, and I think this Bruce Thornton guy has the Rockets written all over him. 6'0 223 pound senior PG from Ohio, the new Fred VanVleet? Who do y'all like?
Bill Worrell would call Bruce Thornton, our 2nd pick. So we actually do have 2 first rounders this year.
This is a weak 2nd round draft. Kids are going back to school for the money. Amazing draft for lotto picks. Not great from 20’s onward. Move the 2nd round picks for future picks or as part of a package to move up higher in this draft.
If there is no value in the 2026 NBA second round draft, there is no trade value either. I would not be surprised if the only prospects available in the second round are college players with no eligibility left.
I'm liking Luigi Suigo if he's still there. Decently mobile 19yo 7'3" Italian dude who at least takes three pointers and has a shooting form you can work with, although he's bad at making them so far. I don't know, really, when it comes to the 2nd round. You just swing and hope for a hidden gem. Going for the toolsy guys where you're not sure they're going to suck yet is probably the best bet.
Sergio de Larrea is a great option for that. 6’6 point guard with good 3 point shot, who was a starter with Spain in last year’s Eurobasket at 19. He is now 20 and playing good minutes for Valencia Basket at Euroleague, with options to qualify to the final four
Not familiar with Matt Able but I liked what I saw from Stojakovic 39. Houston Rockets: Matt Able, SF – NC State 53. Houston Rockets: Andrej Stojakovic, SG/SF – Illinois https://www.on3.com/pro/news/2026-nba-draft-espn-releases-2-round-mock-draft-after-lottery/ I would hate for Milan to go to the spurs 35. San Antonio Spurs: Milan Momcilovic, PF/SF – Iowa State
Again, guys. 223 pounds of pure muscle bound Jamaican, talking 6'5 wingspan, 55/40/83 splits, 20 ppg, 5 boards, 4 ast, 1 steal, 1 to He's the perfect mix of Fred, Tate and Nix. A true lottery level talent waiting for us in the 2nd round.
Just don’t think too much about drafting a spanish point guard called Sergio in case you get a deja vu…
Baba Miller should be a rocket at the end of the draft I was hoping Christian Anderson would slide but he had the best shooting performance of all the guards yesterday, he's a first rounder now. I'm on the Jack Kayil train now
Hannes Steinbach - 7'2 out of Turkey. Şengün needs to have a player he can talk trash to about KD in his own language.
Jaron Pierre. Long, athletic wing who can shoot 3's at a good clip. He would make a good 7th or 8th man off the bench p
Pick older rookie, 6’4 ultimate frisbee players that can shoot in the 2nd round. We need some do everything connectors. The last 2nd round pick we had #44 (Pelle Larson) is closing games for Erik Spolestra because we traded it for AJ Griffin who retired 3 weeks later.
