Best day ever when this fool is traded (and NOT to Houston) and these threads disappear. (That is not a defense of Sengun or “Keep Sengun”) What is the infatuation? That he’s a big name? Like Kevin Durant? “I know it hasn’t worked for Durant anywhere outside of Golden State but it will definitely work here!” That he’s suffered knee, ankle, calf, groin, adductor, back, foot, patella, hamstring injuries? That he hasn’t won a playoff series since 2022? That Rafael Stone, Patrick Fertitta and Ime Udoka, the guys everyone wants fired, will definitely build a better roster around him than the Bucks have been able to? The privilege of paying him a $275 million extension? The privilege of wasting 3 roster spots on his bros? “I know he’s 32, dealing with injuries, hasn’t won since 2022, can’t get out the weak East, is due a huge payday, get to trade assets for him, but I promise you bro, it’s gonna work here bro. Giannis and KD bro?! Thunder and Spurs are scared bro, trust me bro. They don’t want to see that duo in the H bro.” https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/harden-on-giannis-“i-wish-i-could-just-run-and-just-dunk-that-takes-no-skill-at-all-”.304077/
the infatuation is that he's a top 5 player when healthy still. Rockets likely cannot compete with the Thunder or Spurs anyways. this last season was absolutely miserable. one of my least favorites ever. You keep Amen who the Rockets believe is their guy. Giannis is likely not going to be a Rocket, but there's no better player walking through that door in the next 3-4 years while the Spurs and Thunder run the West. What are the Rockets waiting for? There is not a magic scenario where they keep drafting. They are going to shuffle the deck. There are jobs at risk and there's going to be a trade one way or another. May as well take the biggest swing if you aren't exercising patience. Once again, I prefer to take a step back and trade all of the vets. That's not happening. Rockets have a putrid offense, watch the washed up Giannis score in isolation for 10 minutes straight from the 2025-2026 season.
It is funny some people think Alpi is terrible and also think the Bucks, who want "blue-chip talent", will gladly trade Giannis for Alpi. Of course they would. They are not stupid like some of our supposed fans. Alpi is 2-3 year away from his prime yet these stupid people want to trade him for the same guy who has not carried the Bucks to the promised land in 5 years and is pushing ever closer to falling over the athletic decline cliff that comes with age. These idiot fans want it both ways, they say Alpi is terrible but also good enough for the Bucks to accept as "blue-chip talent". The cognitive dissidence is mind numbing.
Where’s the AD talk coming from? I don’t think Jabari can slot in at the 5, but Myles Turner’s contract is something I don’t want…he’ll be turning 31 next season, so that would be 4 starters over the age of 30 reminds me of the Clippers coming into this season you can’t trust them to stay healthy in the regular season or the playoffs, and they won’t be able to keep up with the speed and athleticism of the Thunder, Spurs, or even the Wolves in a playoff setting
Only here do a handful of Giannis fans think trashing young players is the solution. Basketball is a team game. Fail to see that, and you’re in the wrong place. When the system collapses, someone’s always the scapegoat—usually picked by people too busy projecting their own failures. Trading for a player with chronic knee issues, who might barely play next year, just to chase a short‑term second‑round run? That’s not bold—it’s flat‑out stupid. 05/11/2026, 7:41 PM Bucks taking trade calls The Bucks are officially open to trade discussions involving Antetokounmpo (knee), with sides aligned on moving toward a potential separation this offseason, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. 04/12/2026, 1:44 AM Ruled out for Sunday Antetokounmpo (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 76ers. 04/10/2026, 12:33 AM Unavailable for Friday Antetokounmpo (knee) is out for Friday's game against the Nets. 04/08/2026, 7:59 PM Another absence coming Antetokounmpo (knee) is out for Wednesday's game against Detroit. 04/06/2026, 11:30 PM Remains out for Tuesday Antetokounmpo (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Nets.
Also as a reminder. The Bucks held Giannis out. He believed he was healthy and they would not let him play to maintain his trade value and to maintain their draft odds. I think the Bucks were right but Giannis really wanted to play. This is a reverse T-Mac situation. https://www.nba.com/news/nba-says-i...en-bucks-and-giannis-antetokounmpo-is-ongoing Another reminder. Shaq was injury prone and traded at age 32 to the Miami Heat He won another championship in Miami at 34.
Best case scenario... Rockets keep Durant and add Giannis, Embiid and go all big. FVV is our lord and savior and can find these guys. Who needs Jabari, Amen, Reed, Tari, Sengun or any other guy on our team. We can play 4 on 5 the entire game. Let's do it
C: Adams PF: Giannis SF: Embiid SG: Durant PG: FVV We have an elite PG setting the table. Two super tall great shooters at the wings. A best rim attacker. And if the ball somehow doesn't get into the basket, no problem! We have the greatest offensive rebounder there to start the possession again.
How about sending them KD for their 1st rounder this year, might have to do a 3 way deal to hopefully get another young piece (shooter) in the deal.
Gave me a chuckle lol. I really hope the rumours of Giannis wanting the East/Knicks are true. I really think we'd regret it more than the KD trade. Especially because you know the Bucks want a haul coming back to them, it's not going to be a straight Sengun for Giannis, it's going to be a move that guts the future even more for a short term KD and Giannis iso partnership...I just threw up a little imagining that.
Yeah, the price for Giannis will be much higher than Durant's price tag. Some people think we can just trade Sengun and fillers for him is delusional. They are asking for lots of picks and a young stud. We will likely have to gut our future to get him.
can i say this, am i allowed to say this? I just don't like him. I don't like his passive aggressive nature. I don't like he's wishy washy. I don't like how he didn't like Harden (Not a Harden fan either). I don't like his stupid jokes. None of the above is basketball related but I just don't like the guy
You're definitely allowed to say it. I definitely don't like KD the person after seeing the Dickerson bullshit this season and the general attitude he seems to have towards the rest of the guys a lot of the time. Now, I don't think we necessarily have to like the players who play for the team, but it certainly doesn't help in making you want to cheer for them if you dislike them in general. I could never ever ever cheer for Draymond or Curry. Ever. Regardless of if they won us a chip.
I’m in the same boat of just not liking Giannis he is one of the most unwatchable players in history for me, and for that reason alone I’d hate trading for him Idc if Giannis had won MVP this year or something I despise everything about his game Rockets are already hard enough to watch as it is…having to watch Giannis for an entire regular season would have me in therapy
