The NBA considers if the player is a repeat offender too so MAYBE it's another game...maybe...but this being Wemby's first flagrant 2 should save him from anything more than that if anything at all.

As we know, Ron was a multi-time flagrant offender lol.

It has been said many times that the lack of playoff experience was the one thing that might torpedo its chances to advance. Wemby's fragrant 2 was totally avoidable and a product of tougher playoff defenses. Wemby needs to keep his cool. Acting like Artest will get you in trouble.

It seems a bit unfair, defenders are treating Wemby like he's Shaq and the refs are letting it go, but he ain't built like Shaq. Still can't be elbowing people in the throat though.

Wemby is 7'7 at the very least and Reid's jaw was elbow level. If Wemby was 7 inches shorter that would be a chest connect swing to protect the ball. Come on.

It was a standard protect the ball swing but when a 7'7 guy does it his elbow is going to connect at the jaw instead of torso.

So because he's tall, they should have a different set of rule for him?

Maybe if they stopped letting him go over people's back to grab rebounds and foul and goaltend blocking shots, people wouldn't have to resort to being more physical against him.

Being tall has its huge advantage. He has to live with the disadvantage too. As the saying goes, You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Wonder if Silver actually has the courage and integrity to suspend him (history certainly says he does not). It was an incredibly dirty and dangerous move.

Did you not see him pause and look back prior to him throwing the elbow? He 100% knew what he was doing

that was expected…what he did isn’t suspension worthy

Spurs should’ve been up 3-1 looking to close it out…now they gotta come back to Minnesota while OKC rests after tonight’s sweep

Silver continues his streak of being a gutless coward, to the surprise of absolutely nobody.

This whining from the Spurs coach is so pathetic. They’ve turned Wemby’s out-of-control violence into a pity party about the “physicality” of the Timberwolves. I hope Minnesota’s coach responds. This lame gamesmanship works. I’m reminded of Mark Cuban whining about Yao Ming’s screens after the Mavs went down 0-2, then Yao getting called for moving screens repeatedly the rest of the series.
