So only people who win MVP's are franchise players? Do you watch basketball? CP3, DWade, Melo, Ewing, Baylor, Jerry West, Zeke...See this is why you need to watch more than catch all metrics and true shooting percentage dude
Ya if you’re not someone who is consistently in mvp discussion you’re not a franchise player to me. Cp3 deserved one and got robbed for the record
So just to confirm, Elgin Baylor and Jerry West not franchise players? Carmelo Anthony was never a franchise player? Patrick Ewing? Isiah Thomas? Kawhi Leonard? Elvin Hayes? I mean...
I’m not gonna comment on guys way before my time but melo - no, kawhi - yes, ewing - yes. Kawhi had 3 top 5 mvp finishes, ewing had a bunch also
I need that Nets & PHX pick to hit hard next year. If we run it back and have another rough year & miss the lottery next draft I’m gonna be depressed
Sorry dude, your perspective is just not reality. Melo was 100% a franchise player, he was the best scorer in the league at one point, legit though. Scoring champion, 3rd in MVP voting in that year too. several all NBA teams. Franchises built around him. You don't get to change what franchise player actually means just because you can only view the game in record sheets and metrics, seriously. Declaring Melo as not a franchise player doesn't assert your superiority in analysis the way you seem to carry it, it's the complete polar opposite, it's just denying reality.
Next year lottery odds work like this So play in teams and middle of the pack teams will have higher odds and Brooklyn will take a step forward next year and suns can and most likely will be middle of the pack. We can get two top 5 with the nets swap and suns pick, Stone will be a complete idiot if he trades these picks.
I’m not a fan of wings/bigs who are offense only and i don’t believe he could lead a team to championship contention. You could respond without being an ass ONE time though, I promise it won’t kill you! I don’t feel like i’m super rude or an ass towards you whether we agree or not, but if i am my bad dude.
Your term for a franchise player is just a top 5 player in the NBA because list every single nba championship and tell me who their best player is and their rank
Ya that’s pretty fair, my standard is definitely higher than the traditional standard for someone i consider a true franchise player.
What is even the point of making the playoffs to lose to a very bad Lakers team first round, the Spurs are winning without Wemby and won 62 games this season, OKC even better. They need to build through the draft w a new GM.
The problem is the 2027 draft sucks like 2024 did, so even if we get lucky like that, it will probably be two Reed Sheppard level dudes. I wouldn't hesitate to trade these two picks for one in the top 6 or so in this draft class.
So basically, if the consensus is right we'll get some good players... if the consensus is wrong--and it's usually at least somewhat off--welp...
Nbadraft.net when they mock the Rockets the last 4 years. I think they just missed on the Christopher pick. lol. Stone just refreshes the site and picks.
You act like 2024 was bad "Alex sarr, Stephon Castle, Donovan Clingan and Ajay Mitchell are all better then reed.
There is a world where the Rockets don’t get KD last year and trade their #10 pick to the Pelicans and end up with #5 & 8 this year. I am not blaming anyone with the Rockets for getting KD or trading their #10 pick. No one knew the Pelicans would be this bad…. But imagine an odd world where the Rockets kept the Nets pick and moved the Nets pick to the Pelicans last year…. Could have #5, #6 and #8 in this loaded draft…. Get Acuff or Flemings for the back court and Caleb Wilson to play the 4… and one of the centers at #8.
