I think he got an error on that faster one.

 

I was at the game and we were wondering where he picked up the error.

 

I don't get how you can consider that throw an error. Very few could even get the ball to the plate in time and it wasn't far off target.

 

I froze the play right after the ball gets past Vazquez.

He is about 8' up the 3rd base line.

Benson is in a head first slide about 1-2' from home

The ball is right behind Vazquez and above Benson's back.

The throw's trajectory was to the back of the plate but if Christian stays at the plate, there is no way he should miss it and had a chance to get the runner.

I don't understand why he decided to go up the line instead of just moving to the back of the plate to catch the ball.

The error should have been on Vazquez IMO.

This is kinda how I envision Joe Espada on his last day…..

 

He literally threw it perfectly and was a foot from hitting the baserunner

 

When did they start tracking fielder velocity...10 years ago? Serious question.

 

That lineup is in need of.

 

If the season ends up being successful I think it will be because the young OF broke out.
