Segun's regression this year had nothing to do with how he was being used.
    Missing free throws.
3pt & mid range shot non existent.
Missed gimmies at the rim all year.
    Constantly complaining to refs.
Slow decision making out of doubles.

Those are all things Segun could control & he failed. Great players rise in the playoffs. Segun regressed more than progressed this year. Same player as he was the previous year.
He is who he is. What he is not is a 1A or 1B player on a championship team.

Wait, wait. Wait. Sengun's regression had nothing to do with his coach forcing him to play behind the perimeter for 95% each game?

Malpractice that we have a sht coach who doesnt know how to utilize sengun properly and running it back with fvv doesnt help either. Man sucks so much as a pg but ironically he might be the best one on roster that can run ime sht offense.

Trading our talented youngster for giannis aint gonna win us sht.

Why did Ayton & Hayes outplay a healthy Segun & are now back to complete garbage against OKC?

Missing free throws, blowing point blank layups & getting outplayed by Ayton isn't on coaching

Sengun can be better. He has to commit to working on his shooting all around, quit with the horrible shot selection, and for God sakes stop complaining so damn much! There is no reason why he shouldn't be better at the line, that's just inexcusable. Having said that, there is no way I'd trade him for Giannis. I would much rather trade Durant and continue to build around the young guys, including Sengun.

Yes, trading for Giannis and keeping Durant makes you better faster, and that's why I think they will probably do it, but I think it will be a mistake. Sengun will never be as good as Giannis, but this will be a lottery team again in a few years with a bunch of broken down old former superstars. I hate watching teams like that.

I doubt Giannis will have us on his list or want to come here, so Sengun is probably safe from that Milwaukee life

this team was down 3-0 to 41 y/o Lebron and a bunch of bums and castaways…all the other stars in the league were watching

It might have to do with now facing a coaching staff who know what they're doing.

Boy, you're finding this really difficult aren't you.

I like this, reminds me of the legendary 2013 Lakers: Giannis will be like Dwight Howard, Sengun will be Pau Gasol, Reed will develop and be Nash, Amen can develop his shot and become like Kobe (but better). Tari willl be Metta World Peace. What can go wrong?

Trading for Giannis helps with the business of the Rockets:
    1) Bigger name than Sengun
    2) More national TV games
    3) Increase ticket sales/corporate sales
    4) Giannis/KD duo could be enticing for free agents
If it doesn't break up the entire young core and just give up 2FRPs of our choice I say do it

Rockets should try to get AJ Green too, even if it means adding two late round picks

Jabari had a pretty good series too. If everyone lowballs the Bucks maybe he can be the centerpiece.

Target Ryan Rollins if the Bucks want to keep Giannis.

If not, Sengun, DFS, Capela, Jabari , 3 FRP for Giannis and Myles Turner

    FVV/ Reed
    Amen
    KD
    Giannis / Tari
    Turner / Adams

that's a really good start to a contender. I think i'd just go for it.

    THREE first round picks?

If we did that trade I think I'd be done as a fan until the front office gets fired. I can handle watching the Rockets being bad, but I can't deal with a team that sells its whole future for nothing. Giannis/KD is going nowhere.

FVV: 32 coming off an ACL…was honestly pretty bad on offense last season…the only real value he brought as a PG is that he didn’t turn the ball over

KD: will turn 38 before the start of next season…as we saw this year, he is unreliable health-wise

Giannis: turns 32 in December, and the injuries are piling up while the on-court impact diminishes

Turner: still 3/83 left on his deal…in the 2025 playoffs, was arguably even softer than Sengun was this postseason…didn’t even average 5 rebounds a game in almost 30 minutes and was horrific against OKC’s physicality

Is that roster not a 2nd round ceiling that will be toast after about a year?

I don't think going all in is the move. I am on the same boat. My educated guess is the Rockets are ready to move on from Sengun. My opinion is if you trade Sengun it needs to be a for a superstar.

I would prefer to trade for Giannis over AD even if it costs picks. I do not want AD on my team.

Turner v Jabari is the question I guess. Could just do DFS/Capela as the salary filler with the picks and Sengun for Giannis. Can Jabari slot in at the 5?
