SHHH, don't break the narrative - I have 2 kids both college graduates - but my taxes on my house are OUT OF CONTROL, and why are we paying taxes on gains we aren't receiving. Californians pay less in taxes than us in Texas..... https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1widI1s_lAgvS30rb1M2DfHj-wWRws-QR It is sad that the stupid among us are screwing themselves and others by voting against all of us, including themselves. It is cheaper PER PERSON to have a national healthcare plan, I believe the average is 2k per year in savings, and BTW - no copays and you never go broke ...... A national, single-payer healthcare system (Medicare for All) is estimated to reduce total U.S. health spending by approximately 13%, saving roughly $450 billion to $650 billion annually. While estimates vary, this shift could reduce per-person annual costs to $6,000–$8,000, down from the current average of over $12,000–$14,000, primarily through reduced administrative overhead and lower drug prices. We are BORKED by the GOP, who have been screwing their constituents and lying about being the party of responsibility as they spend more and increase the debt infinitely more than Dems - who aren't great either but are a damned site better than the GOP. Obviously, as a Brit I don't have much of a horse in the race. I just find that dudes pettiness over you so obnoxious at this point. Anybody who knows anything about gaming should know you're clearly a successful person, and whilst we've had our issues in the past, I still think you're a good dude who doesn't deserve that level of inane targeting. I live in the national healthcare world, you're not wrong. In the US my mother would've died of cancer years ago, in the UK she didn't have a single bill and was already retired, and has now been in remission over a decade. It's actually crazy to most of us in the rest of the west how much y'all get shafted on healthcare tbh.
I lived in the UK for a time, am a huge Anglophile - we would have moved over there but my wife wanted to be closer to our families. Lived in Manchester, or rather Cheadle - and loved every minute of it, I go over there 2 times a year at least, friends in Wilmslow, Fulham, and Didsbury primarily. The UK has it's own issues, but they are far fewer than we have here, and I don't know why I have a DDingleberry following me around - but he is on ignore, so when I see someone defending something sometimes I go see what and it is always him. He needs a hug in the worst way. As for gaming, we are launching a new podcast later this month about Independent games, the whole industry has been knocked on it's arse by AI - and what is coming out of that is a lot more independent game a lot less AAA or big games. DD
Yeah funnily enough, I played for Cheadle Lacrosse club growing up lol, just off Kingsway which I know you'll remember as the main road through the area. I knew you'd been around this way back in the 90's with the companies you'd worked for.
Yeah for sure, that was my Warthog days - did you ever go to the White Hart pub at the end of the road there next to the church? I had an apartment in the complex behind that next to the train tracks when we were making Starlancer - great times. https://www.greeneking.co.uk/pubs/cheshire/white-hart DD
I drank there every lunch time for a couple of years when I was still in finance actually (about 5 minute walk from the crossroads both the pub and church sit on.) Still a lovely pub even now, and actually Cheadle village itself has had a little bit of a resurgence for nice bars and restaurants recently. I'd hazard I even know the apartments you're talking of. I've worked in a couple of different businesses in the centre of Cheadle, though I grew up more Bramhall/Cheadle Hulme way (played rugby competitively at Manchester Rugby Club in Cheadle Hulme more on your way towards Wilmslow, where I've also worked a couple of times.) I was born in Manchester, raised the Cheshire end of Stockport/Bramhall/Woodford/Handforth/Wilmslow. I live fairly central to Stockport these days.
with Kerr returning to GSW, I feel like they will make a strong push for KD. It's too bad they already dumped Kuminga, he would have been a fun flier. Jimmy Butler/Podz/2026 FRP for KD / DFS/ Capela Lose DFS and Capela bad contracts, take a flier on Podz who brings play making, get a FRP to combine for another trade and take Butler's expiring contract while he rehabs for most of the season. When he's ready to come back, decide whether to play it out or ship him elsewhere.
Really think this is a possibility, but it would have to be more than just pick #11. Gotta be another pick. Turning $60M of torn ACL dead money into a healthy all NBA player on a cheaper contract costs more than just one late lotto pick IMO. Especially because they have to convince Fertitta to send KD to our nemesis Golden State too. Can only do that if the return is unquestionably good.
I don't care what you agree with either. Accountability? You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. How do you know what it's like? Family members saying things don't always tell the story. Plus, what parts of Texas are you speaking about? Unless you have personally witnessed it I'm not taking hearsay.
What a ****ing dumb response considering I already said grew up in texas and im here often. Youre an idiot and a ******* it seems.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this conversation. I almost felt as if I was at the bar overhearing you and dd a few stools away.
HOLY **** what a dumbass. I guess that means you live in LA? You sure were going off about that lol Someone's projecting.
Why would I know anything about "gaming "? My son plays games but I'm an adult. As long as the content is cool with us that's it I'm ok. I don't like DD at all. I've made that clear. I don't force my opinion on others nor do I ignore people. It's not petty. I respond to people who dislike me. It's cool. That's life
You sound upset. Maybe you need a break from the internet. I don't live on LA nor would I ever. I'm not going to validate the rest Not worth my time
It is neat, I didn't know dobizzle was a solid Mancunian - much respect for him love Manchester. Hey Dob, do you know Crewe Hall? I was in a wedding a few years back there, lovely place, what a fun event. I even joined the National Trust when I was over, you can walk almost anywhere, and see some amazing stuff, like castles, noble houses, hell even working mills from like the 1400s.... I had some wonderful times there, we even did a pub crawl weekend on a narrow boat, that was amazing if you get out in the Country the UK has so much to offer. As for sports, 2 of my best friends played Cricket over by where they put the fair for the Nov 5th celebrations and we used to go drink at the little bar on the cricket grounds as fireworks blew up directly above us and rained ash down - such great times. Also, I played softball in a league at Manchester University - coed - just so so awesome. DD
Again you sound upset and can't control your temper. I rarely drink. I shouldn't dignify it with a response but there you have it. I get to ask a question now. What drugs are you on?
