I don't know about you guys, but this whole war, ceasefire, not war, chum, skirmish, excursion, thing sure seems like a bunch of word salad. No response yet on the Peace Deal, no surprise.

Now Trump says we might go back to Project Freedom plus. o_O

“I think Project Freedom is good, but I think we have other ways of doing it also. We may go back to Project Freedom if things don’t happen, but it’d be Project Freedom plus, meaning Project Freedom, plus other things,” Trump said as he was leaving the White House.

I haven’t heard “shenanigans” yet. But, I suppose that’s reserved for the January 6th insurrection.

From Festival of Love (Jan 6) to Love tap (Ceasefire bombings), only Trump could use the word "love" in such a sick way. Then again, when you eliminate love of money, love of gold, love of seeing his name on everything, love of having the biggest towers, hotels, and statues. does he even know what love feels like with humans?

Didn’t the regime say we’d hear a proposal from “desperate for a deal and holds no cards” Iran by Friday?

    Well it’s Saturday, any word?

The President's White House schedule is missing today. It only shows Friday and Sunday. Very strange.

I guess that this is Iran's response that Trump was waiting for ...

That isn’t why he is meeting with the Pope. He is meeting with the Pope because Rubio is a Catholic, and Trump can embarrass Rubio (like he did Vance) and force Rubio to be in the middle of the Vatican/MAGA spat. It is also a good diversion from Iran and Epstein and everything else going on.

The Pope will meet with US leaders to a point - but how he handled the meeting with Rubio, it is very clear that the Pope will not be letting up expressing a belief in the basic dignity of life.

They are desperate for a deal - the impact in Iran is massive. However, the Iranian government also knows that the USA has ZERO taste for any degree of suffering at home and all the Iranians have to do is make the American people remotely uncomfortable and the US will leave.

You have a point. As long as there's no real threat to Trump from the Right -- or anyone in his circle that approaches his stature -- he's safe and free to behave as he pleases (to a point). The moment those in DC start looking at Rubio and Vance as truly viable candidates for the office, the moment Trump becomes vulnerable.

He's got good gangster instincts, I'll hand it to him.

What's going on with the Iranian response is that they, as the kids say, are ghosting Trump. They will, I'm sure, eventually make a counter proposal that will be unacceptable to the US and then we will make a counter proposal that will be unacceptable to Iran. At this point, it looks like we will be doing this over and over again while Trump keeps promising us all that Iran is bombed into rubble, the US is in total control, and the war will be short. Very much in line with how he handles crises. Think back to COVID and how he was trying to sell the country that everything was fine and he had control of the situation. "It'll be over by Easter." The only difference is he couldn't nuke COVID but he can talk about nuking Iran.

Meanwhile, Iran is threatening to cut data cables that run through the Strait, which would cause a significant impact to global communications and commerce as 30% of global internet traffic goes through the Strait. CENTCOM would need to completely change their information flows in the region and financial traffic from Dubai and other places would go dark.

Good thing Iran has no cards.

I do think there is a potential that Trump could accept a deal though that is significantly worse than the Obama JCPOA deal just get get the strait opened back up and they only accept it because they believe Trump voters and our msm is stupid enough to make people believe the sh$t sandwich they are asking you to eat is filet mignon.

And they are probably right. I hate to say it but yes Trump voters are belligerently ignorant on purpose and live in whatever realm of fantasy that helps them maintain whatever version of it makes them feel like winners. And our media will do the thing where they say “Trump got a win… art of the deal” without ever making the point that Trump set fire to a chemical plant, and then because he threw a bucket of water at it, he solved some massive feat.

So yeah I do think that there’s a chance Trump signs anything. Especially if it’s anything they feel they can spin to their belligerently stupid supporters.
