The solution isn't to "vote harder" when the system is rigged. Republicans are gerrymandering throughout the nation without a single vote yet when democrats put it up on a ballot it gets struck down. The system is flawed cuz republican judges are hacks. If every democratic state doesn't gerrymander to the max before 2028 they deserve to have their careers destroyed.
So, rigging the vote like this... all you are doing is creating grievance. They're stealing the short term, but they ARE going to pay it back with interest in the long term. This will weaken Republicans significantly in the long run. People remember, and as annoyed as the country is with Republicans at the moment, having more Republican hegemony shoved down their throat when they voted for change is the kind of thing that people hold onto. Unless they succeed with the whole transition to full-on police state authoritarianism thing, future Republicans will rue the day. If they are actually able to get away with it, fixing this particular election and all the other underhanded manipulative stuff they are doing will have long term negative consequences for Republicans (unless they manage to pull of the whole DPRK transition they seem to want).
