    It is "propagating" I believe.

I will take advice from those that went to school for decades and spent their entire lives studying infectious diseases and viruses over those with no education on the topic.... that goes for just about anything. I am not going to have a veterinarian do open heart surgery on me over a cardiac surgeon. I am not going to have a Spanish teacher represent me in oral argument before the appellate court over an attorney that specializes in appellate work.

We have experts in fields for a reason. They are not always right, but they are right a lot more often than a lay person.

I remember that as well -- and I remembered hearing that on television, and then later them saying to wear masks.

I suspected that they did that to save the limited N-94/95 masks for healthcare workers and those in the hospital.

They also later said that they made the recommendation based on the information they knew about the virus at the time, that as they learned more, they modified their guidelines based on science.

The evidence is overwhelming that masks to help prevent the spread of COVID.

No, I don't remember this -- but Lysol and bleach are excellent for killing surface viruses.

No, I don't remember beaching being closed because they were contaminated with COVID. I do remember beaches being closed because people were tightly grouped together and that spreads COVID.

Of course -- that should have carried over with Gavin decided to meet his friends at Chinese Laundry.

Viral loads were the real issue. People in close quarters using recycled air.

If you really want to be critical of the COVID policy --- I would point to the use of respirators by multiple people at the same time, which did nothing but greatly increase viral load and lead to death. Same with nursing homes, where old people got COVID and being surrounded by other infected people in closed quarters resulted in almost guaranteed death.

lol....She started her podcast to combat disease misinformation. Probably on a few lists, better to keep getting the man-o-sphere take.

Don't forget your HGH, Testo and peptides too.

So your position is that because experts were sometimes wrong during an unfolding crisis, we should discount expert information entirely?

And not just that, but that quoting actual experts should be treated as something to mock?

So what is the alternative here, exactly? “Do your own research,” like the people who took ivermectin as some kind of ultimate cure? lol

There is definitely a strong anti-expert bent to a bunch of MAGA people that i find very perplexing. I've seen it before a bunch.

Like, being an expert in a field will place your opinion in lower esteem than some random guy off the street.

I genuinely don't understand it, but its real. Modern luddites.

There is no comparison to Hantavirus and COVID. Why do people freak out about a spread? Sure, if people inhale vapors from feces of mice or rats on a ship that's a different story. Ships are virus spreaders floating around at sea. You take your chance of getting some type of illness spreading around on those ships docking all around the world, with people taking pre excursions, and excursions while onboard.. It's not even in the same ballpark of COVID spreading across countries and infecting and killing millions of people so quickly, with folks on cots in makeshift tents fighting to survive, because hospitals were full.. Hantavirus has been around for decades and it never spread across a single country. It's such a ridiculous comparison.

Yet it never spread across any country killing people town to town, village to village. Yes, it's deadly, but nothing for most people to freak out about.

No Amiga. What should happen is that open dialogue should be allowed instead of going full throttle censorship on anything that opposes the narrative. Because you know, government officials and 'smart' people with degrees should be given god-like trust. They would NEVER lie ... or be wrong.

The whole narrative was bullshit and all it takes is 5th grade biology to be open minded about other scenarios. Sure, I understand in the very early days when there was little information it would be difficult to provide guidance. But it didn't take long to get enough data to provide reasonable guidance. To this day, you guys still think it was a natural zoonotic spillover despite no evidence to suggest otherwise. Meanwhile, across the street from this frightening wet market, is a laboratory where gain of function research authorize by Fauci, the same moron you trusted (those smart scientist, they are infallible!).
I could write a book about how you all swallowed the official narrative time and time again during this ordeal.

Now we are seeing this dumb **** again. It has gone from the Hantavirus can only be contracted through rat droppings. Now it can be transmitted if people are extremely close. Now we are seeing outbreaks. At what point do you stop pretending you know what you're talking about and instead question the narrative?

You claim to want “open dialogue” instead of censorship, but you respond to a post quoting an expert by mocking it and shutting it down. That is not open dialogue.

You are avoiding the question entirely. So again: if expert information is dismissed, what is your actual standard for reliable information?
