I actually don't think OKC is as talented as they seem... I'll explain.

The thing is...Daginault values every player on his team and takes a college approach to the team. Every guy has a specific role, accepts that role, and every guy is in playing to their strenghts. They have so many different effective lineups that they just are constantly pressuring you, the entire game, no one gets tired because he's willing to use almost every player on his team while most coaches in the playoffs literally barely use half.

They get so much value out of anyone that comes onto their roster...it reminds me of Belichick and his patriots where they would take some specialty player and make him this big threat simply because they are playing the guy to his strength.

This isn't to say that they are bad players turned great but just that you all see the best version of these players. It's not like Presti was hitting on players at this amazing rate before, he was always great at drafting, but now everyone comes there and shows out because they all buy in to whatever their role is.

While I don't think any team is 'unbeatable' it's going to take some amazing star performances to beat them...and the salary cap and OKCs owner having already shown that he's willing to let players go to avoid a high tax bill...

I mean they are this dominant without Jdub playing for most of the season. They don't even need him to win the championship this year. Think about how insane that a team doesn't even need what was thought to be their 2nd best player for the whole season? That would usually absolutely destroy a team. Any other team missing their 2nd best player for the whole season is battling for the play-in.

Talent alone is not everything, you see that with the Lakers, the Wolves and the Rockets, latter of which are undisciplined....

Even with Luka, they are highly beatable, bc they don't play Defense/are slow every possession....

    • OKC has the best talent, or second best after the Spurs with the best development/best work ethic/best synergy/chemistry/best camaraderie in the league.
    • All they lack are a couple of 6'9 Forwards/Wings.......Size at the 3/4 Position which can easily be solved in the next Drafts.
    • Forwards like LBJ and Hachimura who other than M.Smart are the lone bright spots on that Lakers team.

i'm watching this video and think to myself "wtf is this going to do?"

every game it's a different crew. how is talking to this crew after the game going to help the lakers? i'm also looking at the FT differential the past two games, it ain't even that bad. i thought we would be looking at 10+ FTs differential. lakers, your defense is just ass bruh. just because you beat the rockets (worst offensive team in 2026 playoffs), you think you have a chance against the #1 team?

watch, game 3 lakers will most likely shoot 10+ more FTs than OKC. i am no way in defending OKC, but lakers need to look in the mirror and realize OKC is just a better team. with or without luka

JJ getting frustrated with a team that is just better at selling fouls than his own is pretty funny. They are both foul merchants. OKC is just better at everything. Including that.

Acceptance will come in the Offseason as they would grapple with having no Luka.

Reaves without the whistle looks worse than JG last year - hell he looks worse than Tari the second half of this year

Looking at free throw differential is asinine and pointless. In the foster game, the rockets shot 57% more free throws then the warriors. Would you say that the refs were favoring the rockets? OKC if they were officiated fairly (similar to how the warriors were) would be giving up 50-60 free throws a game (obviously they would just stop fouling and would start trying to play legitimately, if they're capable). This lakers team is obviously trash and this series is a complete waste of time, i won't watch a minute of it because who cares, i'm just talking in general when i see people bring up FT differential as a thing.

OKC is unwatchable. If this is what basketball becomes, then it’s dead

The Lakers have enjoyed generations of favorable whistles (and NBA sting operations).

They finally face an opponent who is also favored by the refs all the time. It's kind of fun to see how the refs' brains are imploding.
