Well if Denver can’t make with two versions that are superior in everyway then what does that tell us with Sengun and Reed

It's hard to run two questionable defensive players out there in today's league at all, it's not even that much about Sengun being a center, although that certainly makes it worse. It's a tough league, you can't have two non-shooters or two "gotta cover for him" level defensive players. Unfortunately we kind of have both issues.

If you envision us as a contender next season, it becomes a very important thing to address. If you think we're still rebuilding, which is where I'm at personally, you can live with it for now, but it's something that needs to be fixed sooner or later, so you're keeping an eye out for a deal to trade away at least one of Amen/Sengun/Reed and get the kind of value and fit you need.

Dude we been calling Sengun out for 3 years telling you he's not what his fans here make him out to be. I don’t need a poll to tell you Sengun's not worthy of the praise guys like you give hom

I really hope Alpi takes the soft allegations to heart and comes back next year stronger and less of a whiny b****. He gets away with too many hooks and elbows to be complaining. And defensively, he regressed this year with man v man defense. Hit the weight room with Steven A and quit searching for fouls. I am confident he'll come back a better player next season.

I would see if they could trade sengun for the seventh pick in the draft.

I’m not trying to be funny but he could stand to lose about 10 pounds which would go a long way to help his lateral movement defensively and getting off the ground on those jump hooks.

it’s not surprising that Sengun and his girlfriend of 5 years are no longer following each other on Instagram…she left him for Deandre Ayton

He literally made a statement right before the playoffs about how soft he played last year.
Then goes out and gets pushed around by Marcus Smart. Can't score on Ayton. Makes Jaxon Hayes look like an NBA player.

    Soft.

Some of that is on Sengun, but there is also the Amen factor - how he affects spacing and the fact that defenders will ignore him on the perimeter allowing double teams elsewhere - usually on KD and Sengun - they were two of the most doubled players in the league last season.

I can't see building around either one of them, they are simply too flawed. Sengun isn't going to become a rim protector / lob threat and Amen isn't going to learn to shoot. You can't build an offense around either of them.

Honestly, I think we should move on from both of them.

I think you’re right about Sengun not being able to become a rim protector/lob threat because of his physical limitations. You are way too definitive on whether Amen will develop a shot. You are no better than anyone else at predicting how these guys will progress without obvious physical road blocks. Amen has only started 1 1/2 years and has spent most of his time around the rim. He was not allowed to enough runway to develop as a pg this year. Sengun with an outside shot will be such an offensive + that you might be able to live with his defensive deficiencies or at least it would increase his trade value substantially. He demonstrated in the European league that outside shooting is possible for him. Unless you get an absolute haul or clear young, upgrade it would be a mistake to trade either one.

I guess I am about the only person on the PBS that feels pretty comfortable that Thompson will develop a three pointer. I don’t think he’s gonna be great at it but the form from the corners looks fine. The form from other areas of the floor looks a little bit on camped, but I still think he will get there in the next couple seasons. I believe he is going to end up being semi-generational and definitely a top 10 player. play him four less minutes a game and watch his defensive efficiency go right back up.

I love and respect Alpi but I don’t think it will work with him. And I would be looking to trade him. however, consider, considering his youth, skill, level and contract. I am in no rush.
