I’m confused. Wasn’t Biden told not to run again by his own party? Is that what happens to good presidents?

I'm pretty sure you saw what we saw. First two years, got some real legislative momentum and passed some bills that Trump is still reaping credit for today, then started slipping with age. I've seen it in my own family, the cognitive decline can be rapid. That he wasn't fit for a second term doesn't mean he didn't accomplish some things in the first.

Pretty much. Democrats pressured Biden once age became a real concern, and he stepped aside.

The US has real problems, and leadership that avoids accountability will make them worse. The last thing we need is a cult-like base, including in Congress, that avoids accountability altogether.

The worst aspect of his admin was there was no communication strategy at all. Lina khan and other progressives should've had a larger microphone and been the center of the admin. I worked for the Harris campaign and literally nobody had any idea of his accomplishments like erasing medical debt or capping overdraft fees ND other progressive stuff.

Remember how many decades the old Republican Party carried the torch for Ronald Reagan after he was dead and gone? His last couple of years in office he was incontravertably suffering from not-mild alzheimers and couldn't remember anything. And well into the 2010's, no Republican could escape standing in his shadow and being seen as wanting.

Their hillbilly redneck cousins running the party now are going to be head over heels for the memory of Trump for DECADES after he's gone. Conservativism is (surprise) very conservative about who they get behind, and not even death can stand in the way.

Trump's going to be mythologized into some superhuman being totally unrelated to the real man and held aloft like a totem well after he's dead and fully decomposed. The Trumpers will 100% be demanding the return of Trump even if he strokes out, and is brain dead on a ventilator. A little dementia and incontinance are no impediment to the mythological Trump that exists in their minds.

The myth will always eclipse the man in the average Trumper's mind, and his totally made up memory will serve as a measuring stick for R's for the next 30 years. Get used to it.

No hardcore Trumper is abandoning Trump, no matter what happens. To quote Imhotep, "death is only the beginning." If you've bought the ticket, you want to keep riding the ride.

The biggest failure is recognizing the danger of a demagogue and the weakness in the system, and doing nothing about it.

It's fascinating how off base you are with your thought process.

Left this. woke that. come on brother, you have to be able to think better than this..
I know you have empathy so there's something up there. Use it.

Blaming "woke" ideology is frequently used as a deflection tactic to compensate for, or mask, personal, professional, or political shortcomings. By weaponizing the term, individuals and organizations can shift focus away from incompetence, poor decision-making, or unpopular policies, portraying themselves instead as victims of an "intolerant ideology"

Key aspects of this behavior include:
    • Deflecting Accountability: Rather than addressing issues like failed business strategies or poor leadership, blaming "woke" allows for a scapegoat. For instance, corporations that experience declines after social initiatives may blame "woke" critics rather than poor market understanding.
    • Cultural Weaponization: The term is often used to attack social justice efforts, equality initiatives, and inclusive language (such as changing, as discussed in), rebranding efforts for social progress as dangerous social engineering.
    • "Go Woke, Go Broke" Narrative: This phrase is used to frame the rejection of products or services as a failure of "woke" culture, even when the backlash may be due to other factors.
    • Misappropriation of Terms: "Woke," which historically meant being alert to racial prejudice, has been re-defined by some as a pejorative to attack those advocating for change, sometimes by those who hold prejudiced views themselves.
    • The "Anti-Woke" Backlash: This reaction, often viewed as a form of cultural panic, can lead to the marginalization of people or perspectives that promote diversity and inclusion.
This dynamic reflects a broader "grievance politics" where blame is assigned to opponents rather than solving issues

You loooooved them high gas prices for 4 years and now it's a problem? Highly likely gas prices go down by the end of the year and in the 2nd half of Trumps 2nd term.... You made a habit out of being wrong...

I think it's just part of your TDS, for the next four years no matter what good Trump does you will either spin it or ignore it and magnify what ever bad happens... When Biden was in office it was just excuses and denial.

Unlike you folks I disagree with Trump on immigration and in this war.... I think Trump is no longer the Trump from his 1st term. He has successfully turned into a politician and a true Democrat in nature.

Nobody liked high gas prices you loser. Biden wasn't responsible for Russia invading Ukraine while your dumbass cult hero invaded Iran cuz he was gas lit by Israeli Intel. You comparing the two makes my point at how much of a dumbass you are

bro. we are talking about gas prices. not some generic "no matter what trump does".
people don't like high gas prices. no one was dancing in the streets about it during bidens term.
two things happened. one is a global pandemic. another is russia invading ukraine.

then prices came back down. to it's lowest in a loooong time.

and what does your president do? create a freaking global oil crisis and send gas prices through the roof. and people are pissed. except MAGA who apparently now love high prices.

is it TDS you dummy? no. we are discussing ONE SPECIFIC THING.
    stay on topic. my god.

exactly. when confronted with a valid logical argument these fools resort to overarching terms like woke.

or if they don't like a news story ..it's "fake news".
