The dildo was a terrible logo, but not as bad as the R and I think the backlash on the R has been twice as loud and somehow they just can't let it go. Must be sales in China driving the decion making
I never liked that R logo. Didn't like the Yao era design. The follow-up modifications is slightly better, but still meh. It is the "Udoka" of unis, getting credit for being better than the previous version. But still not good on its own. (The Unidoka LoL)
They did a solid job on this. Near perfect blend of classic era & blue unis. It stripped out the noisiness of the blue pajamas, and made it actually pop more. I think the old HOUSTOn font added to the pop. If they added some customary yellow touch to this and made this the uni, I could accept. But I also think that '23 with young athleticism, they can make a lot of unis look good lol. I'm fine with Dunkstronaut. Make that the full time, and I wouldn't be mad. Hell give ME ANY of the "City" unis & logos over the current R lol
It symbolizes a failed era. Im down for the Dunkstronaut logo permanently. At least incorporate an actual Rocket into the next design.
I don’t hate it but I prefer the championship ketchup and mustard units. We should go back to those and make it permanent.

Agreed with the failed era. 23 years with this logo. Not 1 Finals appearance. Time to move the hell on. It's burning the eyes of most of the fans.
I'm pretty sure different departments handle that and they can do both at once. Always hated our current logo. It's even worse than the dildo with teeth. I never dreamed it would stick around for twenty plus years.
Take the shitty R off the Dunkstronaut backpack and make the ball he is dunking a stylised championship logo. Change the logo back to the championship logo and base the jerseys on the Dunkstronaut. Problem solved.
Dislike, but Im worried they'll do some minimalist corporate BS logo if they change it. Although the Dunkstronaut was alright.
